Intro:

Compound Trading is a trading group active in day trading, swing trading and algorithmic model charting (black box).

Time stamped entries (in permanent archive) copied to this blog are direct live log chat from chat trade room as they occurred (random chat not applicable is deleted from transcript below but raw video footage is as it occurred – uncut). The day-trade room is recorded daily for trade archive (highlights embedded below and available on the Compound Trading YouTube Channel).

In addition to chat, this trade-room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators we are looking for in and out off each trade).

Typically the lead trader is on mic and sharing charting pre-market right before open (around 9:00 AM ET), at market open (9:30 ET), for chart trade set-up and swing trading review during lunch hour (12:00 ET), during webinars (EIA Wed 10:00 and other regular webinars for SPY, Gold, Silver, VIX, and USD representing our algorithm models).

The trading room has (in addition to live broadcast) live chart screen sharing right from our monitors to yours. At times guest traders and associate traders will screen share charting and/or voice broadcast.

Week ended well with a decent daytrade with $CARA. $CGI was the big mover on the day (I didn’t trade it). Gold just didn’t get up and get going (as most thought it would) so there was no trade there and $USOIL $WTI our traders in the oil trading room have been killing it.

Reporting and Next Gen Algorithms:

Swing newsletters will be Tues, Wed, Thurs (night) this week.

The next gen Gold Algorithm is out and will get a $GDX add-on upgrade on weekend. Price increase will be announced within a week or so.

$SPY and Silver next gen algorithms are on deck to be released over the next week. $DXY is out (has an upgrade coming) and $VIX will remain conventional charting for the foreseeable future.

Recent oil room trade review video still on deck for those learning how to use model, however, I have delayed it some because my trades haven’t been the best to learn from lately. Making money, but the hard way lately.

Post market catch up posts still on to do list (we have about thirty from last quarter to post for transparency). Hopefully going forward now that we aren’t releasing any new algorithm models etc I’ll be able to get the rhythm of reporting cycle fluent / regular. It was the development / math etc of the models that took most of the energy so it should be good going forward. Between now and Christmas we’re just locking in what we have tighter and tighter so it sounds like a good plan:)

Bias toward / on watch: $FSLR (chart), $HK upgrade interesting, $VRX, $CARA for possible daytrading lift, Oil $USOIL $WTI came off hard AGAIN in overnight trade and looking for an interim bounce (I am a tad up in overnight trading), $DXY US Dollar as noted previous has held support area and could get significant lift (been this way for some time now), and Gold / Silver no considerable movement post Fed speak from Wednesday. $SPY and $VIX nothing new, however there is a general time / price cycle terminating in next week or so.

This was win #6 on the day.

This day could be summarized as me getting out of my overnight swing on $XIV that worked really well, coming back to $XIV with specific indicators that I explained by live broadcast as I moved in and out of each trade and I also used indicators to move in and out of momentum stocks. All trades were with low stress ease – not that I don’t get anxious – but I mean the “gamble” type stress – I had risk / reward on my side with solid indicators and when a trade didn’t go as planned I cut quick.

Any questions don’t hesitate to ask in a PM in room or DM in Twitter or on email… if you ask me in general chat in room it’s really hard for me to see because I’m scanning many many charts behind the scenes on monitors you don’t see… so my eyes are always there and not in chat.
