Private Capital Fund / Personal Trading Going Forward:

The private capital fund will bring slight changes.

The financing of our business build-out was planned to occur by way of either retail memberships, institutional memberships or private fund trading. The retail market is still early and slow on the uptake of the requirement toward #IA intelligent assisted trade (within six years our estimation is that most retails traders will all need it, but until then we’re not waiting and we’ll just be ready on the other side of that awareness curve). The institutional membership growth has been strong and to be sure we meet our growth trajectory goals (development completion timeline targets for launch of digital “intelligent assistance” #AI algorithm models) we are engaging the implementation of a private capital fund.

A few things of consideration:

  1. Following my trades is never condoned. Trade alerts are for the purpose of alerting awareness to something important occurring so that a member can form a thesis of trade and they are also for the purpose of learning when I win and win I fail. This (following trades) will be more difficult going forward because my frequency of trade will increase also.
  2. Trade Alerts. The trade alerts (swing and day) are not guaranteed at any time (in and/or out) however, it is important to note that with a much higher frequency of trade I will be alerting only those trades I expect to last a few hours or longer. If you ask me for targets or thesis type questions on the alert feeds or otherwise it is unlikely you will receive a response. Trade review videos will be posted for that purpose as required.
  3. Type of Trades. We will be trading the algorithm models (the seven we have), day trading and swing trading for the fund.
  4. Trade Sizing. When I alert to the trading room or on a feed I will be alerting the size only specific to the membership base trading. In other words, the size of trade in our private fund is not disclosed.
  5. ROI Objective. We are trading under the goal / target of returning 100% per month. 50% would be very good and 25% is the minimum goal. So at minimum we are looking for 25% ROI per month compounded over 24 months. The fund size and/ or members will not be disclosed.
  6. Term of Project. The term is 24 months (as mentioned above). It is a personal & stakeholder legacy fund / goal retirement project. Others we train as we progress will continue the legacy fund thereafter (as will they continue with our trading services at large).
  7. Trading Platform on Screen. You may see at times (when I am trading my small daytrading account) my actual IB trading platform on the screen. When I trade my accounts (any of them) they may or may not be connected to various other private fund accounts (at different percentages etc).
  8. Sizing Considerations. Because we are also trading a private fund, there will be trades we cannot take that I may otherwise take because the fund trade size will make it difficult for me to chip in and out of and other related liquidity issues.

In a 1/10 long Gold position under water on, 1/10 $NUGT, hit a morning momo trade yesterday in $FSLR and still holding $AAOI and $SPPI.

Closed my $DWT and CL trades from Friday on Monday when internet got back up for wins.

Wednesday $CMG trade went well for the win, $DWT (oil short) trade went well for the win, and the crypto exchange(s) crash caused some losses on some accounts but we did manage to get out on most accounts. We had a problem with five (more on this soon).

Closed oil short for nice win after adding 2/10. Close $AMMJ swing for small win. $XNET win yesterday was sweet technically. And Bitcoin we are absolutely killing it.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80%+ in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).

Momentum Stocks (Market Open and Intra-Day):

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

I was delayed on a flight due to storm so I didn’t get a premarket done (well 5 mins I guess).

I got a mid day scalp on $GLBS that set up perfectly (the video of the live trade is in the mid day report video), $UVXY I took at LOD long 2000 shares before close (I don’t feel great about it right now), the $UWT trade I caught the low of day of course because of my buddy EPIC the OIL Algo and $LIGA was up on the day one of my holds.

So over all it was a great day. The markets were slow but technical set-ups keep you profitable if you learn them and apply them.

Also, the algorithm trading component of our platform killed it today (we will be releasing quarterly results soon) and the swing trades from the swing trading side crushed it also.

Posts to Members sent direct vs. posting to blog – One of the most common DM questions I am getting is surrounding member algo post unlocks (the one’s members get and we unlock after some time to the public)…. We do not post all member updates to the blog, in other words many of the posts are direct email updates that never get to the blog. Theses can be daily updates or intra-day updates of various types. The only reason we post to the blog at all is for transparency and a public historical record of our work (if it’s good work it should show and if not we should go do something else). So if you are a member to a specific algo charting service or our swing trading service you will receive intra updates and memos etc relating to that service that nonpaying public will never see. Trading Room Attendance: With our commercial multi-user algorithm chart modeling client platform launch, upcoming 24 hour oil trading room and coding for our algorithm models for our trader’s cockpit (you’d have to read our story on our website to understand our build-out plans)… I won’t be in the trading room as much starting Tuesday March 14, 2017. I expect to be in the room most days the first hour or two and then I have to turn my attention to the platform development daily and assistance our software developers require of me. I will still have my monitors on and will likely comment and/or run intra-day review broadcasts etc – I just won’t be in the room minute by minute.

As mentioned above, I took a tough trade in $ORCL (small loss on two tries) – I was late to the party, but the way the trade was handles was important (the indicators). And $TOPS I hit that one for a run and was a nice morning momentum play. Then the market just went flat and our room decided best to $STUDY and use the time effectively.

The Markets Looking Forward:

The markets ran hard after the FOMC on Wednesday and then on Thursday we seen the shippers and dry index get lift which isn’t always the best indicator for market health – we also seen some general rotation, which I expected. Friday and Monday should set the tone for the short term… so I am watching closely. There are a number of swing trades I’m excited about entering between now and Monday also.

Overview Perspective & Review of Markets, Chat Room, Algo Calls, Trades and Alerts:

Traded out of my $OPXA weekend for small gain, scalped $DRYS seven times, scalped $VRX, and flat on a few others. Eleven trades with an average 300.00 profit – a day in the office to say the least. All of which I couldn’t alert outside of room because they were all minutes / scalps.

The real story of the day was Mathew killing with our members (being on the right side of the metals trade and others) and a visit from Hedge Hog trader in our room – he spent the day as a guest and served up some insight to our members about stocks he’s watching. If you aren’t following our associate trader Mathew and Nicholas (HedgeHog Trader) on Twitter you should be. They’re both masters of the game.

Speaking of master peeps in the game, Quarry who was gracious enough to give me a respectable shout out on the weekend – give him a follow! He’s an exciting trader, a good man and tapped in folks.

Also (per previous), I’m still on the wrong side of that Gold / Miners / Silver trade and I have absolutely no excuse because I knew months in advance the bottom call from Rosie the Gold Algo and SuperNova Silver Algo – and I even doubled down on $DUST the other day. HOWEVER, Gold does have two very significant hurdles coming overhead that have low probabilities of price action clearing (with-out a pull back) – unless of course geopolitical reasons change that.

Looking Forward:

I am of course watching our standards that apply to our algorithmic charting.

US Dollar $DXY and $USDJPY failed support and tanked Monday – will be interesting to see what BOJ does next.

$GOLD, Miners and $SILVER blew through resistance but have a series of very significant algorithmic chart modeling and classic charting decisions on deck soon.

$OIL was near / at decision resistance and backed off Monday.

$VIX is still near dead.

$SPY came off a bit Monday but nothing to consider.

Still playing morning momos and expect it to be active Tuesday.

Also watching some new plays talked about in room below today, and $ZAIS, $FNMA (Trump play – not currently in but have been trading them), $OPXA (out Monday morning as noted but I like the chart), $ASM (great story referred by HedgeHog Trader, watching very close), $DUST (looking for intermin Gold reversal as I am in 2/5 size so I may hammer other 3/5 and play a turn for a flat goal), $JUNO and $CBMX (will hold in to late spring if needed and may add), $TRCH and $LGCY (oil and Trump play).

Welcome to the morning Wall Street trading day session!

Notices:

Algorithmic Modeling Charts – Our US Dollar Index algo math finally completed last night – very excited it back tests nearly as accurate as EPIC. More on that this weekend. $SPY and $VIX we’re still working on and expect majority of the model if not all completed this weekend.

Morning Emails: Multiple emails and / or complimentary issues end this Friday. As of Monday this will change, as will passwords for each algorithm daily.

Discounts: We ended our inaugural discount offer to the public last night but a few members have asked for an extension because they are traveling etc…. so we can do that just for existing members until this weekend also… but please after that lets just leave that be because we don’t want to run a sales promo room environment.

SMS / Email Alerts: The SMS and emails alerts – sometimes we can’t alert, so this scenario occurred in Tuesday trade, I was in and out of $DRYS and it was high risk very volatile and I likely did ten or more trades – impossible to alert. Anyway, in most market environments that doesn’t occur, but I thought I would just clarify.

Current Holds:

$GOOGL – sold (sorry I didn’t alert on SMS / Email – I didn’t dump it for trading reasons so I didn’t want to influence anyone else – we also have family businesses that cancelled all advertising contracts with Google yesterday:)), $LGCY, $ROKA, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO (all very small), $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

With Fed, Facebook, Amazon and more it’s anyone’s guess – but I’m bias to bull side.

$SPY could pop easily IMO, $VIX is likely going to be trampled, Gold is at resistance, Silver at resistance but looks better than Gold, Miner’s have held up but Fed and USD/JPY could kick them to curb easily so I would be cautious, $DXY we have locked in so more detail this weekend, Oil is nearing a break-out or break-down that will be epic.

$JJC I continue to like… I started this sentiment in morning newsletters going back a few months now looking in to 2017.

$DRYS in post market and premarket has been surprising.

Bottom line is I would like to get some sizing going, looking seriously at $DUST for a long entry (I’m entering now as writing with fills in 30.50 range with 1000 shares), going to watching momentum stocks, copper, natural gas and earnings plays.

All very small positions – $ROKA, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO, $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

First day of Trump enomics – we’ll see. This could be start of turn in many areas. Looks like some bio runner momos and Gold, Silver and other metals active. $SPY rangebound. $DXY could be at interim support.

Per previous;

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.

Overview Perspective & Review of Chat Room, Algo Calls, Trades and Alerts:

$GLBS, $NAKD, $DRYS, $PHMD – Very quiet for me. $GLBS was the big mover and I just didn’t catch it. Caught momo $NAKD for moderate scalp. Chewed around edges of $DRYS and $PHMD. Dumped a couple small starter bags from earlier in week I didn’t want to hold over long weekend. All in all a good week up 47% on account so for the first of two weeks of the challenge I can’t complain. Looking forward to next 2 weeks in markets – Brexit and Trump theme.

Overview Perspective of Chart Room, Trades and Alerts:

Today was a day of review of inflecton point charts in $USD/JPY, $SILVER, $GOLD, $DXY, $SPY, $NATGAS etc. Spent some time in the afternoon going over levels to watch. As we get in to Dec with members only I will be reviewing in more depth including algorithm details. So this will be normal practice in quiet periods in room. I am also booking some guest speakers for those times.

Also, we are waiting for OPEC decison. I am long $UWTI from late Friday.

And then there were the Shippers and some BIO runners today for those of us tired of sitting on our hands during inflection – I made my donation – twice.

Primary Lessons That May Help Your Trades:

My $UWTI long… previous comments;

I took a trade on $UWTI at the wrong time on the chart – didn’t get on right side of it. I sold in morning to be sure I got out (OPEC has me pensive) and then took a position later when it “looked like” price action was going to get away on me —-> FOMO is what that is called. Oh well, can’t win them all – haven’t lost it yet – but definitely on wrong side of trade so far and that’s not the edge a trader wants.

So now it’s hard to say – in overnight trading oil is up 4.83%.

$GOLD and $SILVER per previous comments;

So far we’ve play $GOLD and $SILVER right waiting for the inflection trend reverse.

$SPY, I haven’t taken a trade on recently, perhaps should have entered on this most recent pull-back, looking for position soon again. Previous comments;

The $SPY play I had set properly prior to election has played out exactly as predicted and didn’t really capitalize like I could have so far – but it hasn’t exactly been a face ripper like Brexit or last Jan or last Sept (all of which I caught) – it’s been much more orderly so I’ve spent my energy preparing for the trend reverse.

$CBMX, this is my LESSON OF THE DAY. I don’t know how many times I have to learn this one…. cut fast. Anyway, I’m under water on it so we’ll see. It is a smaller position in my swing account so it isn’t that concerning but still a bad move. The way I play this is to hammer down two more times at inflection points on the wash-out with tight stops.

Second quiet day in a row for me. There were some runners today $PZRX, $AIRI, $EPIX $HTBX, $TIME and a few more…. but didn’t catch any – small cap bios really. $GLBS got halted and offering of course and tank – a LESSON THERE FOR SURE – very dangerous plays they are. I love the GURUS that post their short positions after the halt – whatever. And the standard plays (Gold, Silver, Dollar, etc) we work with are still at inflection but it looks like that’s almost over. Tomorrow is GDP and EIA and other interesting things like OPEC are coming soon.

Review of my Chat Room Stock Day Trades for Thursday Nov 10, 2016.

Intro:

Time stamped entries (in permanent archive) copied to this blog in italics (below) are direct live log chat from the trade room as they occurred (random chat from myself not applicable or other misc. chat deleted) .

Chat trade room is also video recorded daily for trade archive (we start sharing videos soon – just one more thing on the to-do list).

In addition to chat, this trade room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators I am looking for in and out of each trade) and has live chart screen sharing right from my monitor to the room with all indicators I am looking at.

Today’s Trades And Alerts: $THC, $XIV, $DRYS, $TUBE, $ECPG, $GLBS, $EBIO

So we did get the snap back up in the market as expected… but Thursday it slowed… especially late in the day with the bond market firing off madness.

I got out of my small account and swing account $XIV swing from the night before for my two wins and entered in small account later in day expecting a spike in oil at latest at pit close (because it has been consolidating at support) and with the recent election catalyst I ASSUMED I was safe. But nope, market went flat with bond markets and oil never got price lift. So I’m long over-night in small account $XIV and still in a $THC swing that I may add to if it sees another leg down. I think the dip was over-done.

There were (again) some morning momentum stocks that I could have entered, but I was focused on a timely exit in my $XIV holdings…. overnight swings does make that tough.

So today I have to decide whether to add to $THC or cut and with $XIV I have to decide whether to hold over weekend if the market doesn’t get some positive price action.

So this was win # 1 and win #2 on day and was a 39.27 entry in swing account and small account with a 40.42 exit for about 1.15 gain or 2.5% ish.
