Compound Trading is trading group involved with day trading, swing trading and algorithmic model chart trading.

In addition to chat, this trade-room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators I am looking for in and out off each trade) and has live chart screen sharing right from my monitor to the room with all indicators I am looking at. Big Changes Coming: Even though we post my trades and trading room transcript and video daily (which has been a massive time investment) starting Monday @HundalShs and I have agreed to post intraday small vids to feed and YouTube every trade as they happen. Each will have every detail of setup and why and everything involved in each trade. I will actually find a way to step out and communicate. That should help folks struggling to get over the wall get over.

Premarket was all about: $SORL

In play today in chat room and on markets:

My day consisted of a small momentum play in $ACOR that netted minor gains, an intra-day trade in $XIV netting around 400.00 and trading in and out of a 70% position in $UWT intra-day (adding to 30%) and closing out 100% $UWT swing trade on week for a 13,700.00 gain on that play. One of my better trades for the quarter.

Per last post; My large play is with $UWT, without explaining all the details early in the week I entered a small position $UWT at support and scaled in to the trade (it is a 3 x leveraged ETN related to oil $USOIL $WTIC) and by yesterday I was scaling out 70%. Anyway on 5000 shares scaled in (and trade isn’t done yet) I am up around 12,000.00 this week on this trade and will likely land around 15,000 if I can scale out of last 30% where I think it will find final resistance. So it’s one of my better trades in recent time.

Closing last 30% of $USOIL $WTI related trade $UWT for nice 13K win. Got the bottom earlier in week and rode it.

I didn’t take a trade in $XBIO but I did speak to members that did – and they did well actually. I wasn’t convinced the fundamentals or the chart had merit so I was nervous with it. I did take a small trade in $PRAN at momentum open but small.

My large play is with $UWT, without explaining all the details early in the week I entered a small position $UWT at support and scaled in to the trade (it is a 3 x leveraged ETN related to oil $USOIL $WTIC) and by yesterday I was scaling out 70%. Anyway on 5000 shares scaled in (and trade isn’t done yet) I am up around 12,000.00 this week on this trade and will likely land around 15,000 if I can scale out of last 30% where I think it will find final resistance. So it’s one of my better trades in recent time.

In play today in chat room and on markets:

$UWT, $USOIL, $WTIC, $USRM, $APOP, $HTGM

$HTGM was the big premarket mover, I didn’t take a trade but I know members that did and banked.

My first trade was $APOP at open I was in at 10.14 for 1000 shares and out at 10.98. Small win +840.00

Second trade was $APOP later at 11.56 and held through day and cut for small loss 10.44 later in day. 1000 shares -1200.00.

My next trade was the first of a series of entries and exits and which became a large trade as oil trade progressed through the week (to the point where I was in 100% size and when I trade oil related it can get large relative to my portfolio because my win rate in oil related is near 97%). Anyway, I started with a long $UWT position at 10% size 1000 shares at 16.55.

My last trade was in $USRM for a 1/5 size trade 100,000 shares at .0825 and out at .1053 for a nice win + 2279.00

So I was up on the day about 1800.00 not including the huge win that progressed through the week in oil related long ETN $UWT.

In play today in chat room; $TREE, $USRM, $HTGM, $SSH

The day prior in premarket I had alerted the chart set-up in $SNAP and I think it ran about 10% on the day and today I had alerted $TREE swing trade chart set-up and it ran – so my alerts have been sound (actually I thought I should start alerting a few of our swing trading platform plays to give people an idea of what is going on over on that side of what we do – vs. daytrading for those intered)

My trades weren’t as good ad my calls. I took a premarket trade in $SSH that ended flat, and then a trade in $HTGM that ended in a smalll paper cut (which by the way I think there is an explanation on the daily video of managing this loss and the indicators etc – not sure but I did voice broadcast my trades so it is likely there), and then the end of day trade in $USRM I took was a covert trade win (in at 53 and out at 68). I say it was covert but actually what it was is I had a bunch of people in my office at the time and I was on a teleconference and instead of explaining all that in the room and alerting a trade to our alert members that I couldn’t watch and manage I simply alerted so that I was fair to our subscribers – I don’t like alerting a trade that I can’t manage closely as I don’t think that would be highest and best respect for the traders. Maven took the trade also so that was a consideration.

My morning started with a long in $UNXL right at market open (I liked the chart) with a small loss. In 2500 shares at 1.05 out at .99 for a .06 cent loss or 190.00 or so. Then I had an entry long in $SNAP about 20 minutes later that worked well for 500 shares at 21.27 and closed at 21.95 a 350.00 gain – so not a big day. That was all my trading. I had to travel and our room had an outage so the transcript ends around that point anyway.

In play today in chat room; $ESPR, $HTBX, $PTIE, $NAK, $NG_F, $UGAZ, $GC_F, $JNUG, $DUST

$PULM was a decent runner on the day but I didn’t trade it because we were in $ESPR and watching the market movements. Some were cleaning up there risk and those type of things.

Our traders continue to do well with Natural Gas on the turn with $UGAZ and the Gold turn in $JNUG. I am still sitting in a small $DUST position that I will either add to or pivot to long Gold or miner’s in $JNUG or $NUGT if Gold confirms to upside – but it has been mostly sideways the last few months and Gold is struggling with the resistance identified by our algo some weeks back (long before Gold was anywhere near where it is).

$NAK is also on a turn here and our room has been all over it.

My morning momentum play was in $EPSR and it was a near perfectly executed trade. The video explains the chart indicators I use that got me out of the trade right on time very near the top – and there is video for it below. I got in because the market was weak but $ESPR had run the day before aggressively and in premarket it was aggressive coming in to the open. So I entered and sent an alert to our members right before open and added a few times and exited right before it turned back down. Awesome momentum trade – test book.

$ESPR was up about 7% but it wasn’t hitting a lot of the scanners in social etc but I was watching it because it ran the day before of course.

Through the evening and early morning in the algo lab I was tweeting a storm of tweets about how the market looked bearish and had been for a few days and sure enough Tuesday was the day. Nailed it to the day but we did know it was coming. Our $SPY algo nailed the interim top AGAIN and we were sending messages in our reporting to members on different services (even on these post market trading results posts). So we were more than ready.

The interesting thing I find about our algorithmic model charting is that they always keep us on top of not just trading ranges and the like but they have all been hitting the important turns like our Gold algo hitting the top last year and the most recent bottom turn, our dollar algo is all over it and our SPY algo had us ready for this top and on and on.Or even our oil algo, always nailing it. It has added an element to my trading that I couldn’t do without – becoming used to it for sure when originally I struggled with it (like anyone would I suppose).

The markets to me look toppy (as I’ve noticed previous). So last weekend we produced some simple swing charting that keeps me level when looking at the markets (examples below). Simple charting I find grounds you to simple trades which in turn keeps you profitable in toppy or sideways markets. So I find the practice crucial even though our algorithmic modeling can cut up a chart on any time-frame and I can trade scalping like nobody’s business with them… but I have businesses etc and I can’t be a minute by minute trader (right now anyway). So keeping it simple helps me and many on our swing trading side of the platform really appreciate the simple view because they have day jobs or businesses etc.

Closed my position in $USRM when it was up near 57% on the day and on $BLKG when it was near 233% on the day. $BLKG low on day was 16 and high was 58 and I closed at 55 for a nice win – held the swing for a few weeks.

My $BABA call and a number of the other swing trading calls are continuing to be home runs, winning is good in this business.

It’s too bad our transcript in the room is not available for the first part of the day (my apologies but we’re learning the platform) because not only was most of the action for the day in the first hour but MarketMaven schooled us all on a morning momentum stock $ESPR – wow what a trade, three adds and closed near the top. Total schooling.

Also our traders were in natural gas $NG_F $UGAZ etc killing that and the other trades on intra and swing trading are all going well for our small group. 2017 has been a great year for the group, I am in the process of compiling the trade P/L of each trader (contacting them one at a time asking if they would be interested). Anyway, the feedback I am getting has been fantastic (in terms of YTD performance) and that has been obvious in the room – but I would like to document it if possible.

So I’m very disappointed to say the least. My excuse is we’re just learning the details of the platform and capturing the transcript has its details. Anyway, we’re on it. We’re also on getting these main traders in the room equipped to run charts and broadcast voice in their trades etc to build out a more robust daily trading video for people that review after market because they work or whatever… we’re on it, we’re getting there. I took a trade long in $SPXL with an initial entry and then actually sized in large. I sold right at the turn – I was in a meeting trading on my phone and couldn’t access the trade room but I alerted the buys.

The traders in the room were on top of $TOPS and Gold, a move in $COST and a few others.

But it was a slow day to say the least.
