In addition to chat, this trade-room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators I am looking for in and out off each trade) and has live chart screen sharing right from my monitor to the room with all indicators I am looking at.

Notices:

Two Week Account Double Challenge: It ended today (Monday) because there was a holiday last week (so ten trading days). I didn’t double, I think I was closer to 41% and our techs will do review vids and publish P&L soon for review. It started out really strong and as inauguration got closer market got less aggressive and has been since. The momo plays lacked follow through the last five or six trading days. Oh well! 41% ish isn’t bad. I’ll be looking to get my double up before the end of the month now and I’ll be targeting a double up per month going forward. Remember – all live in the room, recorded, transcript etc… no calling things after the fact – totally transparent room.

Daily Trading Results. I apologize, I haven’t had time to do last Wed, Thur and Fri yet – I will post them. To be honest they were so uneventful for me that I prioritized other work – but I’ll get them out soon.

A Special Note to Newer Traders or Folks Looking in to our Services: I don’t have a lot of time right now to explain this, you certainly don’t have a lot of time to hear it and I won’t single anyone out – but I do again find myself having to set something straight. There is a newer trader that admittedly has not been consistent in his/her oil related trading – so he/she has been in our room for the last four or so weeks and getting Epic the Oil Algo reports in the morning. Recent renewal comes up and he/she says there hasn’t been enough action, market weak etc… long story and I won’t give all the detail. Anyway, important notes for new traders are as follows;

First, if you are following my trades or anyone else’s that is very bad. Not good. Trade a plan. Learn from the room and reports – but learn to develop a plan and trade it.

Second, in the last four to six weeks there has been enough margin in oil related trade (if, like this newer trader of topic here you only trade oil related) that had I traded only oil related I would have increased my account 20 % or more. It’s all relative. I chose not to trade oil related because I trade what will bring me (in my advance assessment) the highest return for the least amount of effort in the shortest amount of time. So I have been trading momo stocks since Epic the Algo gave us clear indication that the oil related trade was at an inflection (which was spot on obviously with the trade of oil the last six weeks). BUT HAD I TRADED oil related, I can guarantee a minimum 20% return. And why can I say that? Because I’m totally transparent so I can – my trades stand on their own so there’s no arguing that. And, I can also say it because I actually care. Yup, that’s novel. We care about newer traders in our room so if you’re doing something stupid I gotta say it. And maybe by saying this others can benefit also.

For those that don’t know our trading room I trade $DXY US Dollar related (like $UUP early in the recent break-out last fall when our algo nailed it), Gold $GLD and related (which I missed at this turn but in past with our algo nailing it I trade and likely will trade again if our algo says another turn soon), Silver $SLV (same as Gold our algo nailed the turn and I do trade it), OIL $USOIL $WTI (and as many know I trade oil related intensely when EPIC our oil algo signals a trend reversal), $SPY and related and $VIX related such as $XIV, $TVIX, $UVXY and more. So I trade all those and the momentum stocks. You will find me in the ones specific to what I believe will return the highest ROI in the shortest amount of time – but that doesn’t mean you can’t trade something I am not. In fact, in the most recent turn that Rosie the Gold Algo called months in advance and SuperNova Silver Algo called many of our members have been banking DAILY on that move – but I haven’t traded it once. I missed the turn – I knew it was there of course because of the algos – but I didn’t execute in it. But the majority of the room has.

Overview Perspective & Review of Chat Room, Algo Calls, Trades and Alerts:

$MRNS, $SHH, $GALE, $NVLS. Today was all about momentum plays that had no follow through so I couldn’t size in – which has been my challenge the last eight trading days. Learning how to size in to trades is critical to trading success – you’ll notice even though the last eight days the momos have not allowed for significant size legging I didn’t get chopped to crap. So please, please don’t do this at home until you’ve practiced the discipline on paper trading first. Even a pro coach is a good idea – he/she at minimum should review your paper trades before you start in this process. It can be an account killer – or a blessing – it’s got a sharp edge and it’s fine the difference between the killing of your account and the blessed account.

Looking Forward:

In overnight trade it looks like commodities are cooling a bit so I may look at inverse Gold or Miner’s ETN’s ETF’s Tuesday, also market has been calm since inauguration so I would expect a bit of a pop or drop here soon and I’m thinking a pop. So I’m looking forward to the last six days of trading in January.

All very small positions – $ROKA, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO, $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

First day of Trump enomics – we’ll see. This could be start of turn in many areas. Looks like some bio runner momos and Gold, Silver and other metals active. $SPY rangebound. $DXY could be at interim support.

Per previous;

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

$CBMX, $JUNO, $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Per previous;

Lots of width in what we are trading between now and Jan 20, 2017 (and likely at least short-term thereafter) IMO. Should be really active. My focus will be toward morning momentum plays and scalping range in $NUGT $DUST $JNUG $JDST $USLV $DSLV $UWT $DWT $UGAZ $DGAZ $TVIX $UVXY $XIV.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Generally speaking I am looking for some volatility between now and late January. My instinct tells me that even if there is some downdraft in the markets that the Trump train will sweep them up in positive momentum at some point.

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

General Market Outlook:

Lots of width in what we are trading between now and Jan 20, 2017 (and likely at least short-term thereafter) IMO. Should be really active. My focus will be toward morning momentum plays and scalping range in $NUGT $DUST $JNUG $JDST $USLV $DSLV $UWT $DWT $UGAZ $DGAZ $TVIX $UVXY $XIV.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Generally speaking I am looking for some volatility between now and late January. My instinct tells me that even if there is some downdraft in the markets that the Trump train will sweep them up in positive momentum at some point.

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

Per previous;

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.

$CBMX, $JUNO, $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

Lots of width in what we are trading between now and Jan 20, 2017 (and likely at least short-term thereafter) IMO. Should be really active. My focus will be toward morning momentum plays and scalping range in $NUGT $DUST $JNUG $JDST $USLV $DSLV $UWT $DWT $UGAZ $DGAZ $TVIX $UVXY $XIV.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Generally speaking I am looking for some volatility between now and late January. My instinct tells me that even if there is some downdraft in the markets that the Trump train will sweep them up in positive momentum at some point.

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.

I wouldn’t bet against it. This weekend, along with other algos all our 2017 charting is out so all levels up and down moves will be in those reports.

Watching, watching, watching. $SPY is still having difficulty with the resistance our algo alerted weeks back prior to Fed speak.

The S&P did exactly what we thought it would last year.

We thought Trump would win and that would cause a rally and that did occur. We also expected some rest before EOY and our algorithm called that to the day and almost penny.

Here forward is more difficult to predict – we are going to assess price action as the year turns over and the Trump era unfolds.

I wouldn’t rule out a sell off and I wouldn’t rule out a rally. I think they are both likely in 2017. We just want to catch the inflection right.

My Trading Plan for $SPY:

Right now I am trading $XIV instead of $SPXL or $SPXS. I do this because we are in a trend of crushed volatility. Now, when that changes and volatility starts to rise again (even if $SPY is rising at the same time) then I’ll flip over to trading $SPXL and $SPXS instead of $XIV.

Watching $USDJPY now close for a top. Symmetry is in play on the chart, there is some divergence (although not broke) and metals are starting to front-run.

As you may know, we called the bottom (if it is) almost to the penny (months in advance) and recently Gold and miners did get lift (which we expected / called). Between now and Jan 20 anything is possible.

It would be most logical that miners would rally and Gold may also.

But you need to remember that Trump has surprised everyone since he started campaigning and a significant Trump rally in the markets cannot be ruled out. If that happens, Gold will obviously most likely see new lows to between 800 – 1000.

So be ready, and lets catch the inflection. I was expecting on last run in USDJPY so be cautious.

So we have started to see some action in Gold and Miners so it these are on high watch with me right now.

I am waiting for the trend reversal. We are very close to the price target at the bottom of that quadrant at 1133.00 ish. The initial wide frame target Rosie the algo nailed but there has been a wait and see for a reversal because of one more possible leg down. Getting very close IMO.

I haven’t started to take trades yet because I am waiting for “price – trigger – trade” set-ups. I will start chewing around the edges of stocks like $NUGT and $GLD likely. The idea is to get on the right side of the trade and trend.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts and at minimum of our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. And you will notice quickly that the algos have been undeniably accurate on many time-frames (intra-day and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades). A quick hour of review at most will bring you up to date.

I do trade morning momo stocks (at times), but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. I wrote about resistance the algo alerted at 227.80. This is still in play FYI. However, the Fed will determine now naturally whether we trend up or down from where we are. My bias is up until new year BUT I WOULD BE READY because money could get caught offside. Who knows?

As pre previous and our algorithm call before election…. My bias is still to new highs but I am looking at a pull-back Christmas / Early 2017.

As above in my intro and previous, the chart ain’t broke till its broke. When its broke we’ll let you know.

USDJPY Ignore Fib Calcs – Green arrows significant support and resistance.

Watching $USDJPY now close for a top. Symmetry is in play on the chart, there is some divergence (although not broke) and metals are starting to front-run.

USDJPY is getting close to symmetry on the chart from the last run up about two years ago – charting on deck in coming reports!!!

BE VERY CAREFUL LISTENING TO THE $USD/JPY bears – they have been feeding misery to followers for many weeks – the chart is not broke – price is currently at support and there could easily be another leg up – nobody knows but the trend is your friend!

So we have started to see some action in Gold and Miners so it these are on high watch with me right now.

I am waiting for the trend reversal. We are very close to the price target at the bottom of that quadrant at 1133.00 ish. The initial wide frame target Rosie the algo nailed but there has been a wait and see for a reversal because of one more possible leg down. Getting very close IMO.

I haven’t started to take trades yet because I am waiting for “price – trigger – trade” set-ups. I will start chewing around the edges of stocks like $NUGT and $GLD likely. The idea is to get on the right side of the trade and trend.

WE SHOULD BE ALMOST THERE! GET READY! LIKELY BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND TRUMP POWER TRANSFER! CHARTS COMING!

Same as Gold, I’m waiting for the “price – trigger – trade” set-ups… I am going to start chewing around the edges of stocks when set-up confirms like $USLV and $SLV attempting to get on right side of trend trade.

Outlook:

Crude overnight is trading right below a major resistance and right near a MAJOR time/price cycle termination decision.

Per Previous:

Last week Tuesday algo target at 4:30 hit and Wednesday 10:30 AM both targets hit to the cent and second and Friday Algo target was a near miss and this week Tuesday 4:30 hit and Wednesday just in to target but not a perfect hit (very tradeable though). Friday targets on charting BUT BE CAUTIOUS WITH FRIDAY TARGETS.

Now that a number of blog posts are being unlocked, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for traders to review them (especially new traders).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).
