All my holds are small to mid size holds in this order according to sizing – $ONTX, $DUST, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI.
Per recent;
$DUST I will close for a loss if Gold holds 1260 – sucks, but it was a relatively small position (to portfolio size) but I didn’t follow the golden rule… when a trade goes against your plan cut fast and I didn’t so I will likely pay the price. And I guess what has become the second golden rule… listen to the algos… they haven’t been wrong yet – so yes, I didn’t listen to my own invention ROSIE the Gold Algo (give Rosie a little plug there she deserves it lol). Embarrassing, especially because ROSIE nailed the bottom many weeks in advance of the bottom – all I had to do was listen and boom new house. Sad.
There are significant resistance clusters above recent highs in oil and the S&P so I will be very cautious to upside going forward until recent highs are taken out and confirmed. The daytrading side I am 95% cash now that I am out of $UWT so I am fine. I see significant upside challenges in Oil and SPY with most recent highs being taken out.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, our YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).
I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Intro:
Compound Trading is trading group involved with day trading, swing trading and algorithmic model chart trading.
Time stamped entries (in permanent archive) copied to this blog are direct live log chat from chat trade room as they occurred (random chat from myself not applicable or other misc chat deleted). Chat trade room is also video recorded daily for trade archive.

$HTGM was the big premarket mover, I didn’t take a trade but I know members that did and banked.
My first trade was $APOP at open I was in at 10.14 for 1000 shares and out at 10.98. Small win +840.00
Second trade was $APOP later at 11.56 and held through day and cut for small loss 10.44 later in day. 1000 shares -1200.00.
My next trade was the first of a series of entries and exits and which became a large trade as oil trade progressed through the week (to the point where I was in 100% size and when I trade oil related it can get large relative to my portfolio because my win rate in oil related is near 97%). Anyway, I started with a long $UWT position at 10% size 1000 shares at 16.55.
My last trade was in $USRM for a 1/5 size trade 100,000 shares at .0825 and out at .1053 for a nice win + 2279.00
So I was up on the day about 1800.00 not including the huge win that progressed through the week in oil related long ETN $UWT.

I am holding (in order of sizing – all moderately small size to micro sizing) – $DUST, $ONTX, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI (this is the daytrading portfolio and does not represent swing trading service portfolio): Looking at moving out of all these small positions over the next month or so. I am now 95% cash in daytrading account.

I posted this on my Twitter feed at the end of the day because most people and media pundits were very bearish Monday and I wasn’t.
Last weekend we produced some simple swing charting that keeps me level when looking at the markets (examples below). Simple charting I find grounds you to simple trades which in turn keeps you profitable in toppy or sideways markets.

We have Gold and Silver at resistance, the US Dollar at possible support, Oil at support, $SPY at support and volatility $VIX is finally alive! Today, or at least the next few days the decisions should be made. Either way it looks like we have some trading range coming!

Even though my holds are small in size I would like to start focusing on trading out of some of these, if not all. With the current downdraft in market I may not be able to get out of these for a while – VERY SMALL part of my portfolio now – I am 95% or more cash.
All small to mid size holds in this order according to sizing – $ONTX, $DUST, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI.
Per recent;
$DUST I will close for a loss if Gold holds 1260 – sucks, but it was a relatively small position (to portfolio size) but I didn’t follow the golden rule… when a trade goes against your plan cut fast and I didn’t so I will likely pay the price. And I guess what has become the second golden rule… listen to the algos… they haven’t been wrong yet – so yes, I didn’t listen to my own invention ROSIE the Gold Algo (give Rosie a little plug there she deserves it lol). Embarrassing, especially because ROSIE nailed the bottom many weeks in advance of the bottom – all I had to do was listen and boom new house. Sad.
Swing trades on watch for me again (in addition to our algorithm models because everything is either at resistance or suport) today (some are same as from our swing trading platform side) are $BABA, $VRX, $NFLX, $WYNN, $XME, $URRE, $TAN, $TWLO, $GSIT, $ABX and considering adding $LIT to the list. Also recently added to watch $CEW, $MYL, $TZA, $TREE and today added are $NVDA, $SOXS, $KBH, $BCOR. Also on OTC side new are $USRM, $PLSB, $LIGA and $ASCK.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, our YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).
I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Last weekend we produced some simple swing charting that keeps me level when looking at the markets (examples below). Simple charting I find grounds you to simple trades which in turn keeps you profitable in toppy or sideways markets.

We are going to try another trading room platform – yes, but we gotta try and get what will work best, we’ll get you details. The YouTube platform we are having difficulty with outages, transcripts and delays / lags.
The Quarterly Swing Trading Performance Review P/L with Charting is Published. The Algorithms and Daytrading Quarterly Performance Reports are being compiled as I write and will be posted soon.
Even though my holds are small in size I would like to start focusing on trading out of some of these, if not all. With the current downdraft in market I may not be able to get out of these for a while – VERY SMALL part of my portfolio now – I am 93% or more cash.
All small to mid size holds in this order according to sizing – $ONTX, $DUST, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI.
$DUST I will close for a loss if Gold holds 1260 – sucks, but it was a relatively small position (to portfolio size) but I didn’t follow the golden rule… when a trade goes against your plan cut fast and I didn’t so I will likely pay the price. And I guess what has become the second golden rule… listen to the algos… they haven’t been wrong yet – so yes, I didn’t listen to my own invention ROSIE the Gold Algo (give Rosie a little plug there she deserves it lol). Embarrassing, especially because ROSIE nailed the bottom many weeks in advance of the bottom – all I had to do was listen and boom new house. Sad.
Market Outlook / Trading Plan:
Swing trades on watch for me again (in addition to our algorithm models because everything is either at resistance or suport) today (some are same as from our swing trading platform side) are $BABA, $VRX, $NFLX, $WYNN, $XME, $URRE, $TAN, $TWLO, $GSIT, $ABX and considering adding $LIT to the list. Also recently added to watch $CEW, $MYL, $TZA, $TREE and today added are $NVDA, $SOXS, $KBH, $BCOR. Also on OTC side new are $USRM, $PLSB, $LIGA and $ASCK.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, our YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).

The day prior in premarket I had alerted the chart set-up in $SNAP and I think it ran about 10% on the day and today I had alerted $TREE swing trade chart set-up and it ran – so my alerts have been sound (actually I thought I should start alerting a few of our swing trading platform plays to give people an idea of what is going on over on that side of what we do – vs. daytrading for those intered)
My trades weren’t as good ad my calls. I took a premarket trade in $SSH that ended flat, and then a trade in $HTGM that ended in a smalll paper cut (which by the way I think there is an explanation on the daily video of managing this loss and the indicators etc – not sure but I did voice broadcast my trades so it is likely there), and then the end of day trade in $USRM I took was a covert trade win (in at 53 and out at 68). I say it was covert but actually what it was is I had a bunch of people in my office at the time and I was on a teleconference and instead of explaining all that in the room and alerting a trade to our alert members that I couldn’t watch and manage I simply alerted so that I was fair to our subscribers – I don’t like alerting a trade that I can’t manage closely as I don’t think that would be highest and best respect for the traders. Maven took the trade also so that was a consideration.
I am holding (in order of sizing – all moderately small size to micro sizing) – $DUST, $ONTX, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI (this is the daytrading portfolio and does not represent swing trading service portfolio): Looking at moving out of all these small positions over the next month or so.
Last weekend we produced some simple swing charting that keeps me level when looking at the markets (examples below). Simple charting I find grounds you to simple trades which in turn keeps you profitable in toppy or sideways markets.

Closed my position in $USRM when it was up near 57% on the day and on $BLKG when it was near 233% on the day. $BLKG low on day was 16 and high was 58 and I closed at 55 for a nice win – held the swing for a few weeks.

My $BABA call and a number of the other swing trading calls are continuing to be home runs, winning is good in this business.
It’s too bad our transcript in the room is not available for the first part of the day (my apologies but we’re learning the platform) because not only was most of the action for the day in the first hour but MarketMaven schooled us all on a morning momentum stock $ESPR – wow what a trade, three adds and closed near the top. Total schooling.
Also our traders were in natural gas $NG_F $UGAZ etc killing that and the other trades on intra and swing trading are all going well for our small group. 2017 has been a great year for the group, I am in the process of compiling the trade P/L of each trader (contacting them one at a time asking if they would be interested). Anyway, the feedback I am getting has been fantastic (in terms of YTD performance) and that has been obvious in the room – but I would like to document it if possible.
I am holding (in order of sizing – all moderately small size to micro sizing) – $DUST, $ONTX, $XOM, $NE, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI (this is the daytrading portfolio and does not represent swing trading service portfolio): Looking at moving out of all these small positions over the next month or so.
The markets to me look toppy (as I’ve noticed previous). So last weekend we produced some simple swing charting that keeps me level when looking at the markets (examples below). Simple charting I find grounds you to simple trades which in turn keeps you profitable in toppy or sideways markets. So I find the practice crucial even though our algorithmic modeling can cut up a chart on any time-frame and I can trade scalping like nobody’s business with them… but I have businesses etc and I can’t be a minute by minute trader (right now anyway). So keeping it simple helps me and many on our swing trading side of the platform really appreciate the simple view because they have day jobs or businesses etc.

Per recent’ $DUST I will close for a loss if Gold holds 1260 – sucks, but it was a relatively small position (to portfolio size) but I didn’t follow the golden rule… when a trade goes against your plan cut fast and I didn’t so I will likely pay the price. And I guess what has become the second golden rule… listen to the algos… they haven’t been wrong yet – so yes, I didn’t listen to my own invention ROSIE the Gold Algo (give Rosie a little plug there she deserves it lol). Embarrassing, especially because ROSIE nailed the bottom many weeks in advance of the bottom – all I had to do was listen and boom new house. Sad.

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).
