Post market catch up posts still on to do list (we have about thirty from last quarter to post for transparency). Hopefully going forward now that we aren’t releasing any new algorithm models etc I’ll be able to get the rhythm of reporting cycle fluent / regular. It was the development / math etc of the models that took most of the energy so it should be good going forward. Between now and Christmas we’re just locking in what we have tighter and tighter so it sounds like a good plan:)

Goldman Downgraded at KBW as ‘Revenue Outlook Dims Again’

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).

Momentum Stocks (Market Open and Intra-Day):

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Some of my Favorite Intra-day Trading Set-Ups:

(1) Momentum Stock Wash-Outs for Snap Back, (2) Bad News Wash-outs on Stocks with High Institutional Ownership, (3) Getting on the Right Side of a Trend Change and scaling in my position and (4) Our Algorithm Set-Ups.

The momentum stocks (from previous days and morning trade) I continue to watch through the day for indicators that allow a trade.

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

Morning all,

Spent the better part of evening lab session in Gold / $GDX algorithm and that’s where the work stayed and just finished the $GDX upgrade now. It took more work than we anticipated.

Anyway, that puts all algorithm, swing trade, post market reporting etc off for 24 hours – until tonight – sorry for the delay… but we had to get that upgrade right and our members all have charting to work with until tonight.

On another note, the Master Class series starts today at 2 PM in main trading room and all will run daily until all material is covered. All members will get copied as we go as a thanks for early adoption to our platform.

And finally, it looks like my biggest percentage gain month in 29 years setting up so I hope you have all shared some in that success.

All reports will be out this evening.

Reporting and Next Gen Algorithms:

Rebalance of charts from weekend was difficult with a Trading View update – but charts are out and full reports will follow Monday night.

The next gen Gold Algorithm is out and will get $GDX final add-on upgrade Monday night. Price increase will be announced within a week or so.

$SPY and Silver next gen algorithms are on deck to be released over the next week. $DXY is out (has an upgrade coming) and $VIX will remain conventional charting for the foreseeable future.

Recent oil room trade review video still on deck for those learning how to use model, however, I have delayed it some because my trades haven’t been the best to learn from lately. Making money, but the hard way lately.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).

Momentum Stocks (Market Open and Intra-Day):

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

Reporting and Next Gen Algorithms:

The next gen Gold Algorithm is out and will get a $GDX add-on upgrade on weekend. Price increase will be announced within a week or so.

$SPY and Silver next gen algorithms are on deck to be released over the next week. $DXY is out (has an upgrade coming) and $VIX will remain conventional charting for the foreseeable future.

Recent oil room trade review video still on deck for those learning how to use model, however, I have delayed it some because my trades haven’t been the best to learn from lately. Making money, but the hard way lately.

Post market catch up posts still on to do list (we have about thirty from last quarter to post for transparency). Hopefully going forward now that we aren’t releasing any new algorithm models etc I’ll be able to get the rhythm of reporting cycle fluent / regular. It was the development / math etc of the models that took most of the energy so it should be good going forward. Between now and Christmas we’re just locking in what we have tighter and tighter so it sounds like a good plan:)

Momentum Stocks (Market Open and Intra-Day):

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Bias toward / on watch: $VRX, $CARA for possible daytrading lift, Oil $USOIL $WTI came off hard AGAIN in overnight trade and looking for an interim bounce (I am underwater in a trade), $DXY US Dollar as noted previous has held support area and could get significant lift, and Gold / Silver as expected continue under pressure. $SPY pressure / floating along and $VIX nothing new.

Market Outlook: 

I was bullish Friday (and it did get bull momo) but undecided / not so much today. We will have to see. Earnings are soon and it seems they will be positive for the most part so who knows. Market could rev up again soon.

My bias is to a bullish finish to week.

Reporting and Next Gen Algorithms:

I put out an email to members this morning about our next gen updates – please read. Bottom line – we’re done all six (done, done that is – not going to try and get them any better). Anyway, 5 of 6 test as good or better than EPIC (which is huge) so that is the good news. The 1 (VIX) does not and it is as good as it is going to get in my opinion. I’ll polish them up for member newsletter presentation and have them all to you by Sunday open. Thanks for the patience. In my defense I just had to get them as good as they could be before release.

Bias toward / on watch: Continuing to watch $CARA for possible bounce, Natural Gas is high on my watch list, Oil did come off as I last wrote and is in important test area, Dollar as noted previous at important support area and could get significant lift, and Gold as expected (previously noted in last premarket report) has come under continued pressure.

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

We were in the middle of publishing / sending reports at the time and the “issue” has caused a three hour unexpected delay. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).
