$VRX, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO (all very small), $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

Oil, Gold and the VIX are high on my watch list.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

General Market Outlook:

Looks like Gold, Silver, Oil came off a bit and the US Dollar may be about to get a bounce – but the jury is out and we’ll see how the day goes here today. $VIX is still dead and $SPY came off a bit yesterday and may get going today or tomorrow, again we’ll see.

With Gold $GLD, Silver $SLV, Miners $GDX, Oil $WTI coming to areas of resistance, $DXY near support, will be a series of decisions soon.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. The post market trading result reports that we haven’t posted over the last few weeks we will catch up on this weekend and going forward will do our best to get them out daily, but I get it, the more convenient and timely the data is the better – so we’re working on that solution right now.

Interesting times. Gold sitting on support, Silver on support, as is $USDJPY and $DXY. $SPY near dead but has got some jig this morning, $VIX near dead and $OIL near break-out. I would say sometime between now and end of Tuesday we get fireworks. My guess either this afternoon or it starts Sunday night.

General Market Outlook:

Overnight Oil is near important resistance, Gold is above important resistance as is Silver, US Dollar is mid range but at reasonable important Fib test, VIX got a jump, and SPY is relatively calm. From an algorithmic modeling perspective trade is strong / precise. This means machines a fully on and this provides excellent precision in my trading (specific to our six algo chart models).

I’m on the wrong side of the $DUST trade and may have to cut if Gold, Dollar etc extend current action.

I’ve been a little sloppy lately – watching. Bottom line – it looks like Gold and Silver if they get much higher they will continue in a new trend – so it looks like decision area to me. Oil is in the same boar but it does have overhead resistance coming soon (moreso than the immediate one). As far as the market in general, I never bet against it unless its broken and correcting.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Welcome to the morning Wall Street trading day session!

Notices:

Algorithmic Modeling Charts – Our US Dollar Index algo math finally completed last night – very excited it back tests nearly as accurate as EPIC. More on that this weekend. $SPY and $VIX we’re still working on and expect majority of the model if not all completed this weekend.

Morning Emails: Multiple emails and / or complimentary issues end this Friday. As of Monday this will change, as will passwords for each algorithm daily.

Discounts: We ended our inaugural discount offer to the public last night but a few members have asked for an extension because they are traveling etc…. so we can do that just for existing members until this weekend also… but please after that lets just leave that be because we don’t want to run a sales promo room environment.

SMS / Email Alerts: The SMS and emails alerts – sometimes we can’t alert, so this scenario occurred in Tuesday trade, I was in and out of $DRYS and it was high risk very volatile and I likely did ten or more trades – impossible to alert. Anyway, in most market environments that doesn’t occur, but I thought I would just clarify.

Current Holds:

$GOOGL – sold (sorry I didn’t alert on SMS / Email – I didn’t dump it for trading reasons so I didn’t want to influence anyone else – we also have family businesses that cancelled all advertising contracts with Google yesterday:)), $LGCY, $ROKA, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO (all very small), $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

General Market Outlook:

With Fed, Facebook, Amazon and more it’s anyone’s guess – but I’m bias to bull side.

$SPY could pop easily IMO, $VIX is likely going to be trampled, Gold is at resistance, Silver at resistance but looks better than Gold, Miner’s have held up but Fed and USD/JPY could kick them to curb easily so I would be cautious, $DXY we have locked in so more detail this weekend, Oil is nearing a break-out or break-down that will be epic.

$JJC I continue to like… I started this sentiment in morning newsletters going back a few months now looking in to 2017.

$DRYS in post market and premarket has been surprising.

Bottom line is I would like to get some sizing going, looking seriously at $DUST for a long entry (I’m entering now as writing with fills in 30.50 range with 1000 shares), going to watching momentum stocks, copper, natural gas and earnings plays.

Volatility is here!!! Margin finally. Apple reports after market and Amazon Thursday – should get interesting. Morning chart reports show Gold, Silver near break outs, Oil near support, USDJPY near further break down and US Dollar confusing. VIX should be a good play today…. but most important is that margin has finally opened up! Thank you!

General Market Outlook:

The Trump crap is making things look bearish – but until $SPY chart broke it’s up and up. But we may get some volatility and who knows, maybe we’ll see a correction. We’ll know when and if it turns.

Gold and Silver still near the bottom range of our algo calls from last year, $USDJPY no decision yet as far as I’m concern (sure it’s off its highs but could it turn around and charge? Sure it could, not likely, but it could). $VIX is up a tad, but to be expected considering. Oil is near a considerable resistance and not far above that is a serious resistance that it rarely encounters.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

General Market Outlook:

Very bullish. I’ll turn bearish when it’s bearish. Things are rocking in the right way. The swing trading portfolio is hot with our swing trade members (raging hot), our algos are hitting like mad, the market is doing exactly what we thought it would and onward and upward!

$USD/JPY has been on a face ripper as expected (obviously as I’ve been sitting in $DUST without a hesitation).

Big updates coming this weekend as Gold and Silver back near original price targets and Oil getting closer to serious resistance and $SPY on all time highs with $VIX crushed and the $USDJPY factor. Lots happening.

I know from talking to some of you it has been difficult lately (and really good for others) – my best advice – STOP LISTENING TO PEOPLE ON TWITTER – ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT ARE NOT TRANSPARENT WITH CALLS AND YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE. Sorry, but there’s been some raging bears lately that have taken sheep RIGHT OFF THE CLIFF!!! We have stops for a reason. If market is going up go up and set stops. Go bear when its bear. You can go bear any second. And I guess my second advice is listen to the algos – I had to learn to do that – its good for you. I’ve come to realize that. Tune out the noise.

I’m winning for a reason and those bears that have people losing tens or hundreds of thousands lately have done you no favors. A bearish peace of advice is easy – set a stop and tune out the rest. I wanna be a bear more than anyone – I BANK WHEN ITS BEAR TIME – but it isn’t a bear till its a bear.

Gold is in trouble and at a very important decision area – review Rosie the Gold Algo report for details. $DXY and $USDJPY still wildcard. $VIX is getting crushed to lows as I expected. $SPY got lift as expected. $GDX – as per previous…. careful, if market gets idea that Trump not going to help miner’s like market thinks whoompf.

Rosie the Gold Algo, Epic the Oil Algo, SuperNova Silver and the others continue to hit calls so I’m pumped.

Per previous;

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.
