If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channel and at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).

The algorithm Twitter feeds can be found here:$WTI (@EPICtheAlgo), $VIX (@VexatiousVIX), $SPY (@FREEDOMtheAlgo), $GLD (@ROSIEtheAlgo), $SLV (@SuperNovaAlgo), $DXY (@DXYUSD_Index). Momentum Stocks (Market Open and Intra-Day):

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Some of my Favorite Intra-day Trading Set-Ups:

(1) Momentum Stock Wash-Outs for Snap Back, (2) Bad News Wash-outs on Stocks with High Institutional Ownership, (3) Getting on the Right Side of a Trend Change and scaling in my position and (4) Our Algorithm Set-Ups.

The momentum stocks (from previous days and morning trade) I continue to watch through the day for indicators that allow a trade.

Volatility $VIX Trade Update Thursday April 13, 2017 $TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV, $VXX Charting / Algorithm Observations

Good morning! My name is Vexatious $VIX the Algo. Welcome to my new $VIX algorithmic modeling charting trade report for Compound Trading.

Well, volatility is back! It took a while, but it appears that we may have it for some time now. So we’ll start with conventional charting intra-week here, do a full update this weekend with algorithmic modeling and then going forward update this every few days while the $VIX has life.

$VIX Simple Charting – Resistance (red line) Is coming mid 17’s, SQZMOM is green, MACD crossed up, but Stoch RSI is near top.

So does it mean the resistance at downward trending red line will hold? No, but I would watch it closely and watch the Stoch RSI for a turn down. Very probable soon.

Good morning! My name is Vexatious $VIX the Algo. Welcome to my new $VIX algorithmic modeling charting trade report for Compound Trading.

Complacency in the market can’t last forever, and if even momentarily we expect some volatility soon. Volatility $VIX Trade Update Thursday Feb 2, 2017 $TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV, $VXX Charting / Algorithm Observations

Good morning! My name is Vexatious $VIX the Algo. Welcome to my new $VIX algorithmic modeling charting trade report for Compound Trading.

Mid-Week Update

Below is classic charting with some algo modeling, and will be such until Monday. This weekend the completion of $SPY and $VIX will be our focus. When they are done this weekend then all six will be completed.

Current Volatility $VIX Trade:

Wow! $VIX gapped perfect from the one algo quadrant to the next. The diagonal white dotted trend-lines are Fibonacci based algorithmic modeling that our traders use as important resistance and support.

The horizontal lines are all trading ranges our traders will be using to trade – decision points.

The machines are on in an unusual way right now (we know because all of our algorithmic models are showing precise and aggressive price action). If this continues, trading will be aggressive, precise and will offer significant opportunity. If trade gets above the quadrants on this chart we will update it and send the update to members.

Volatility $VIX Trade Update Wednesday Feb 1, 2017 $TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV, $VXX Charting / Algorithm Observations

Good morning! My name is Vexatious $VIX the Algo. Welcome to my new $VIX algorithmic modeling charting trade report for Compound Trading.

Quick Mid Week Update

Below is classic charting models / scenarios, and will be such until Monday. To be frank, our US Dollar math finally locked in yesterday (after months of work) so we spent the evening completing the model. So this weekend $SPY and $VIX will be our focus. When they are done this weekend then all six are finished.

Fibonacci Levels Our Traders Will Trade. Algorithmic modeling worksheet. Feb 1 601 AM $VIX $UVXY $TVIX $XIV $VXX

You know, people can be a little funny. We had this one member cancel his $VIX subscription yesterday because he wasn’t wanting to wait for us to complete algorithmic modeling (he was frustrated). The interesting thing in my thinking is… below is the chart that was provided to our $VIX members yesterday morning and you can see how it played out. If you ask any classic chartist if their charting woud have led them to those diagonal (white dotted) support and resistance lines and the way that those Fibonacci levels are laid out on the chart (notice how there are various and more importantly how they are offset etc). Well.. a traditional chartist would tell you no way would they chart it like that. AND, what happened? Look at the way $VIX traded. It respected those lines is my point. What’s the big deal? Well when the resistance or support of the white dotted lines was breached… there were the money trades long and short. Classic charting would not have them. Those quadrants are critical. They may look random, but they are far from random and the math required to get their locations correct… well, run 60 months backtesting with up to fifty indicators for each of ten timeframes… gives you an idea. Of course this model is one of our newest and a review of our charting models with EPIC will give anyone an idea of how precise it gets, but the $VIX charting as is presented significant opportunity. And the cost of subscription reflects that also. Anyway, just pointing that out because traditional Fib lines are one thing, quadrants are a completely different thing and those represent where the money is. Price action commonly gets volatile when algo quads are breach to up or downside and that’s where your primary trade is.

Quick Mid Week Update

$VIX is finally out of the basement and as such below is charting our traders are using for the Fibonacci support and resistance levels to watch for when trading ascending or descending price action. $VIX Trading Observations:

The VIX has gotten crushed once again. We expected to be able to publish all levels for trading quadrants today (when we reported last week), however, with-out upward trade this is impossible. The manner in which VIX trades we require an upward trend to publish specific trading quadrants and targets specific to the move because each move comes with its own specific velocity. So that leaves us waiting for another upward trending trade move before we can update the trading targets. So for now the report below includes current charting and recent report excerpts (for the newest members to review).

$VIX Fibonacci levels our traders are watching intraday. Down -9.75% and at 11.5.

Excerpts from Jan 10, 2017 $VIX Report:

So yesterday we did see some lift in the $VIX and then it came off some. We do expect a volatility increase as we near Jan 20. As it rises we will post levels for intraday trading our traders will be using. Other than that, there are no new indicators to report intraday.

Per yesterday;

Live Chart Link: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/VIX/NagLpI9Y-Vexatious-VIX-Volatility-Algo-Algorithmic-Modeling-Jan-09-134-A/

First, it seems volatility (based on probability calculations) is due for an increase – see red line on chart below for the most probable scenario short term.

Until volatility starts to rise this is the best we can do – provide the most probable scenario.

However, as soon as it starts to rise we can then provide historical averages / probabilities and indicators to move with the price action and trade in and out of volatility price action.

If you are shorting volatility, the trend-line in yellow has proven to be effective of the last number of months, however, we would caution relying on it.

So the bottom line with the $VIX as it is intra-day – our traders are waiting for the indicators to turn positive at which time we will be issuing posts relating to intra-day trading ranges – until then we wait.

Volatility $VIX Trade Update Wednesday Jan 25, 2017 $TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV Charting / Algorithm Observations

Good morning! My name is Vexatious $VIX the Algo. Welcome to my new $VIX trade report.

Notices:

We have left information from the last few reports at the bottom of this report for reading / review ease for our new members over the last few days.

New Service Options: We now also offer a stand-alone trading room option now vs. bundle (incl. trading room, premarket newsletter, alerts). Plans from $1.22 per day w/ promo code.

How My Algorithm Works and Availability:

I am an algorithm in development. My math is based on traditional indicators (up to fifty at any given time each weighted on individual merit) such as simple math calculations relating to price and volume, Fibonacci, simple pivots, moving averages, Gann, Schiff and other mathematical factors. I do not yet have AI or Geo integration – only math. I am not a high frequency or bot type algorithm – I am to be used (represented on a chart) as a probability indicator to give our trader’s an edge when triggering entries and exits on trades with instruments that rely on the price movements of the volatility index (more specifically $VIX).

Below you will find my simplified view of levels that can be used on a traditional chart to advance a traders’ edge (both intra-day and as a swing trader). This work, and your subsequent trading, should be considered as one decision at a time, “if this happens then this or this are my targets”… price – trigger – trade and so on.

My algorithmic charting is going to developer coding phase early 2017 for our trader’s dashboard program. Please review my algorithm development process and a recent post by my developer that explains more about “Why Our Algorithms are Different than Most”.

I Am In Very Early Stage Development

My algorithm is the sixth in the line of six that my developers are working with – which means I am in the very early stages. So you will find my charting below to be very simple (relative to say the first algo developed EPIC the Oil algo). So if you find that my initial charting does not assist you with an edge in your trading please let the office know by emal [email protected] within 30 days of signing up so they can refund you. If you do chose that option, you can always check back as 2017 progresses when my algorithm processes / indicators for your trading edge will be very extensive.

Is should also note, that specific to the $VIX, this algorithmic modeling work is much different than an indices, a commodity or a currency – each come with their own challenges, but specific to volatility the challenges in modeling predictability are exceptional.

Current Trade in Volatility

$VIX is almost at lowest possible levels so for today and until it starts to trend up we will not be able to provide algorithmic charting. We will however provide all charting details the moment it starts to trend upward.

Until then I have left the recent report data below and offer just a few insights;

1.9% of $VIX readings over the past 27 years have been lower than yesterday.

Second lowest $VIX ever for the 2nd day of the Feb OPEX cycle.

Lowest $VIX print in last 5 years was 10.28 on July 3, 2014. $VIX reached 17+ a month later. Tuesday hit 11.04. At print $VIX trading at 10.7.

Per yesterday;

Volatility $VIX Trade Update Monday Jan 23, 2017 $TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV Charting / Algorithm Observations
