Of course Mathew and the crew in the room continue killing it – awesome.

Day started with one of our traders alerting in early premarket $JAGX and just nailed it perfect – huge gains of up to 70% for some. 

My morning momo (small) was a small loss and then later in the day I started to leg in to a $JDST trade (explanation below).

Per previous;

I’m still on the wrong side of that Gold / Miners / Silver trade and I have absolutely no excuse because I knew months in advance the bottom call from Rosie the Gold Algo and SuperNova Silver Algo – and I even doubled down on $DUST the other day. HOWEVER, Gold does have two very significant hurdles coming overhead that have low probabilities (as far as math is concerned) of price action clearing (with-out a pull back) – unless of course geopolitical reasons / sentiment change that.

Looking Forward:

I am watching our standards that apply to our algorithmic charting, as follows;

US Dollar $DXY

Yesterday I wrote, “US Dollar $DXY is at important support so I will watch for a bounce (my personal bias)”. Today it did in fact bounce. The algorithmic model had noted a minor divergence as did the classic charting so I took a late day trade in $JDST (going well).

And there are the really important long term chart MA indicators that are not bearish $DXY that should be in mind.

Gold – Gold Miner’s – Silver

Per yesterday,” $GOLD, Miners and $SILVER blew through resistance but have a series of very significant algorithmic chart modeling and classic charting decisions on deck soon so I will watch for a pull-back (my personal bias but I do know there is a significant possibility my bias is wrong and if so I will really hammer down on the move through resistance long if it occurs – AND I’ll be ready for the small and micro caps that would likely light fight in that scenario)”.

Gold struggled at the second last resistance decision (at the algorithms symmetry extension on Rosie the Gold Algo charts – yellow line) and came off. And then when it failed the diagonal Fib based algorithm trendline (white dotted on Rosie’s charts) I took my trade in $JDST. In overnight trading this hasn’t been regained so there are 3 important resistance levels in Gold on our algorithm has before our algo considers the uptrend continued – so I will watch. Also of consideration for this trade is the announcement from Trump and Japan’s Abe expected Friday at 1:00 EST.

Crude Oil

Yesterday. “$OIL was broke and it magically repaired and is back in its multi-week range – trade the range until really broke.” On Thursday oil continued to trade within the sideways range it has been in for weeks – so yes, magically repaired chart. I believe there was evidence Wed and Thur of how our markets are “managed” – even oil.

There are OPEC meetings this weekend so that is in the mic also.

Volatility

$VIX is still near dead – records being set.

$SPY S&P 500

Per yesterday, “$SPY continues in its range but I will be looking for a break to higher (my personal bias)”. $SPY did break out on Thursday as expected so I am studying opportunity.

Per yesterday, “Still playing morning momos but the last 15 sessions follow-through momo (where I bank) has been difficult because volume goes poof”. This still the case but this morning premarket was a bit stronger but follow through wasn’t great (even though it was better).

Swing Trading Newsletter Service:

Per yesterday, “Swing trading – continuing to bank on that side of our platform and don’t expect that to slow down in 2017 (until a change in market conditions of course)”. And of course this only got better today for our swing traders with $SPY break-out and related equities. There are a host of stocks in the service being traded such as $AAPL, $FB, $GOOGL, $BABA, $NFLX, $OAK and more.

Weekend webinars we are hosting to review all of our algorithmic modeling, swing trading and what we do in our trading room will be as good for me as it will be for attendees because it will be a refresh of all the charting and a good way to get ready for next weeks trading.

Current Holds / Trading Plan:

$VRX, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $CBMX, $JUNO (all very small), $DUST (looking for a way out on $DUST – was expecting one final significant spike in USDJPY before drop). $CBMX and $JUNO are holds till spring if necessary (you would have to do your own DD on the companies and make your own determination).

Looks like Gold, Silver, Oil came off a bit and the US Dollar may be about to get a bounce – but the jury is out and we’ll see how the day goes here today. $VIX is still dead and $SPY came off a bit yesterday and may get going today or tomorrow, again we’ll see.

Good day! My name is Rosie the Gold Algo. Welcome to my new member edition Gold trade report for Compound Trading.

Mid-Week Gold Trade Update

Here they come! Three critical decisions on deck for Gold traders! The double-down algorithm symmetry extension (yellow line on chart), the algorithmic chart model quadrant edge (blue line) and in classic charting the 200 MA currently at about 1263.50 ish.

If Gold clears those three levels and holds them, in our algorithmic modeling discipline this signals a significant reversal. To this point, if you refer back to my posts when Gold first turned, I explained this scenario was very possible (the double-down extension). BUT, the continued upward trend possibility beyond the double-down was not considered.

Let me put it this way, if you review far enough back you will find that I CALLED THE BOTTOM BEFORE THE TURN AND I CALLED IT MANY WEEKS IN ADVANCE LAST YEAR WHEN EVERYONE WAS B U L L I S H GOLD!

Imagine that, everyone is bullish and you call the turn and not only the turn but the exact (or near to) penny of the turn nobody knows is coming yet. Guess what? That could, COULD, happen again. But first! Lets see how the last three tests go!

General Market Outlook:

Gold is in trouble and at a very important decision area – review Rosie the Gold Algo report for details. $DXY and $USDJPY still wildcard. $VIX is getting crushed to lows as I expected. $SPY got lift as expected. $GDX – as per previous…. careful, if market gets idea that Trump not going to help miner’s like market thinks whoompf.

Rosie the Gold Algo, Epic the Oil Algo, SuperNova Silver and the others continue to hit calls so I’m pumped.

 

Per previous;

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

Do you see what I see? Trading has got up over the top of an algo quadrant and is about to back test the top of that quadrant! This is a big deal, why? Because Gold (broadly) is still in a downtrend and has not (as my algorithm is concerned) confirmed that it is in an uptrend. I know, I know, the rest of the world has confirmed a trend change – but not me. I’m waiting for confirmation (read previous reports).

If it fails and trades to downside of that quadrant top then watch for a test of that yellow Fibonacci line and the 100 day MA (blue) on 2 hour chart. Those three indicators all fail and there is a 90% or better chance Gold is going down next!

General Market Outlook:

Looks like Gold is trying to get up off the mat – yet to be confirmed. $DXY and $USDJPY still wildcard. $VIX is getting crushed to lows as I expected. $SPY got lift as expected. $GDX surprisingly resilient – careful, if market gets idea that Trump not going to help miner’s like market thinks whoompf.

Rosie the Gold Algo, EPIC the Oil Algo and the others couldn’t be more dialed in so that’s fantastic.

Per yesterday;

This could be start of turn in many areas. Looks like some bio runner momos and Gold, Silver and other metals active and close to test. $SPY rangebound but with earnings we could go here. $DXY could be at interim support.

Per previous;

My general bias (as a trader – not algo math) is for the market to be somewhat flat or deflate prior to Jan 20 inauguration, Gold and Silver to get further lift but back off between Wednesday afternoon and Monday. After the inauguration my bias is toward Gold and Silver getting punished when the Trump train gets moving again (no telling if this will be days or weeks or even a few short months). But I do think Trump will crush Gold, Silver etc and the $VIX at some point. The $VIX I will be watching close. Oil I think has headwinds. Natural Gas I am continuing to watch. Smaller Gold / Silver / Oil companies and Shippers / Greece I am watching very close also. But of course with Brexit in the news, the OPEC situation and inauguration I am going to stay very nimble and likely trade volatility and Gold related most of the week.

Early in 2017 I will be watching very closely bonds, $USDJPY, markets in general for direction (of course there are hundreds of variables).

Metals, energy and financials are three areas I am looking to for 2017 for trading margin – with bio in fourth place on my list. And per previous we’re expecting some action in bonds to the upside a high probability.

As a trader, it is the margin / volatility I am focused toward and getting on the right side of a market / sector turn and scaling in to that.

All algos (Oil, SPY, Gold, Silver, Dollar, VIX) have hit their targets now (long term since July and short term) so we are running calculation targets for all six algos for all time charting time-frames and expect these reports to start rolling out first week of January 2017.

I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

Two Week Account Double Challenge: It ended today (Monday) because there was a holiday last week (so ten trading days). I didn’t double, I think I was closer to 41% and our techs will do review vids and publish P&L soon for review. It started out really strong and as inauguration got closer market got less aggressive and has been since. The momo plays lacked follow through the last five or six trading days. Oh well! 41% ish isn’t bad. I’ll be looking to get my double up before the end of the month now and I’ll be targeting a double up per month going forward. Remember – all live in the room, recorded, transcript etc… no calling things after the fact – totally transparent room.

Daily Trading Results. I apologize, I haven’t had time to do last Wed, Thur and Fri yet – I will post them. To be honest they were so uneventful for me that I prioritized other work – but I’ll get them out soon.

I didn’t take any morning momentum trades because the open was really weak for the premarket runners. Trust the indicators! Lots of my friends got chopped up bad at the open Tuesday.

My first trade was in TransCanada Pipeline on the Trump approval of the Keystone Pipeline. I will say that one of our advantages is technology, in that we have a lot of data that passes through our offices and we were on top of this one the second it broke. I brought up the chart right away but there wasn’t action so I thought I’ll just set the alarms and left it. That was a mistake (but I was watching Gold and Silver close at the time). Anyway, the alarms sounded and I took a small entry. Got a moderate win. It also looks like I exited early but Trump had conditions to the pipeline deal so I exited. Many of our members banked – thanks for the thank you notes guys and gals!

My second trade was an add to my swing in $DUST. This was specifically because our algorithm Rosie the Gold Algo the night before and in her morning report was clear about a high probability of failure in Gold on Tuesday – and sure enough it hit. I entered later than I should have but I still got a decent daytrade win. My exit was near perfect – again thanks to Rosie algorithmic modeling.

Looking Forward:

I’m excited for trade now. Yesterday I pointed out that I was looking at a trade in inverse Gold and that worked out and that it looked like commodities were going to cool some. Also noted yesterday that the market would likely pop and $SPY got some lift. So no surprises at all – going per plan. Epic the Oil algo, Rosie the Gold Algo, SuperNova Silver Algo and the rest of them are all dialed in and hitting well.

I can’t complain – I’ve had a good run, Mathew is hitting it regularly and the members are having a great year so far so it’s all systems a go!

Per yesterday;

In overnight trade it looks like commodities are cooling a bit so I may look at inverse Gold or Miner’s ETN’s ETF’s Tuesday, also market has been calm since inauguration so I would expect a bit of a pop or drop here soon and I’m thinking a pop. So I’m looking forward to the last six days of trading in January.

So Gold failed the test and the price traded much lower once trade lost the top of that algo quadrant (blue line in charts). Below, under each chart it describes what happened and what to look for next. Respect the quadrants – and then when price moves in to quadrants up or down respect the Fbonacci levels, horizontal trendlines (purple lines) and any other indicators I provide for you. Do you see what I see? Trading has got up over the top of an algo quadrant and is about to back test the top of that quadrant! This is a big deal, why? Because Gold (broadly) is still in a downtrend and has not (as my algorithm is concerned) confirmed that it is in an uptrend. I know, I know, the rest of the world has confirmed a trend change – but not me. I’m waiting for confirmation (read previous reports).

If it fails and trades to downside of that quadrant top then watch for a test of that yellow Fibonacci line and the 100 day MA (blue) on 2 hour chart. Those three indicators all fail and there is a 90% or better chance Gold is going down next!
