Premarket Session:
I was delayed on a flight due to storm so I didn’t get a premarket done (well 5 mins I guess).
Market Day, Chat Room Trades and Personal Trades:
$GLBS, $UVXY, $LIGA, $UWT, $USOIL, $WTIC
I got a mid day scalp on $GLBS that set up perfectly (the video of the live trade is in the mid day report video), $UVXY I took at LOD long 2000 shares before close (I don’t feel great about it right now), the $UWT trade I caught the low of day of course because of my buddy EPIC the OIL Algo and $LIGA was up on the day one of my holds.
So over all it was a great day. The markets were slow but technical set-ups keep you profitable if you learn them and apply them.
Also, the algorithm trading component of our platform killed it today (we will be releasing quarterly results soon) and the swing trades from the swing trading side crushed it also.
Been holding these small bags wayyyy tooo long. I am holding (in order of sizing – all moderately small size – under 5% of my daytrading acounts) – $ONTX, $ASM, $SSH, $LGCY, $TRCH, $ESEA, $MGTI, $LIGA (this is the daytrading portfolio and does not represent swing trading service portfolio): Looking at moving out of all these small positions over the next month or so.

Market Day, Chat Room Trades and Personal Trades:
$ETRM, $X, $UWT, $HMNY, $USOIL, $WTIC – Red day. Down 220.00 on the day.
Took a premarket trade in $ETRM that worked out well. 5.67 long and closed 5.91 at 1000 shares. But then I blew it at open.
Took an early momentum trade in $ETRM.. Long 6.27 Closed 5.66 1000 shares for a 600.00 loss! Ugh. Lesson 1 – control losses! Lesson 2 – go back to lesson 1!!! Bad bad. Anyway room video below has it live. As soon as the opener play failed VWAP I should have cut for a tiny loss. Beginner mistake. Really dumb.
Took a trade too late in $X and it was flat. We had it set up perfect and I executed way late – that is on video below also.
And $UWT I was in at 19.08 and out at 19.187 for tiny win but I wasn’t comfortable holding through 4:30 PM time cycle.
And $HMNY was the big momentum play for members in the room among others – the room did well again. Very proud of our group.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channeland at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. $RTIX I didn’t trade today but our members are in it – lots of our swing trading members and some of our day trading members are. It was a set-up from our mid day reviews we do in the room from 12 noon to 1 pm everyday on chart set ups. Writing a book this winter and I’m going to use these chart set-ups and trade reviews as the outline for the book. Starting Tuesday we’re going to do trade recap reviews first at noon and then move on to chart set ups all covered in that 1 hour! $RTIX has been a winner between 10 – 15% for members so far.

Curt M_1: Theres two problems Tracy…. 1 it has small volume 2 the MACD is possibly about to trend down (it is undecided)… but on a whole its a decent setup – I would give it about 75 out of 100
Market Maven: The goal is to study out the charts Tracy and pick the highest probability ones of a group

Tracy: I can’t seem to pick good day trades to save my life. I could have gotten into PBYI at 38 this morning but they were saying it could move 65% one way or the other so I did nothing. So I decided to be safe and wait. I never pick the right choice.
Curt M_1: I can tell you the fundamentals typically from the way a chart acts.
Curt M_1: You’ll have to just follow our lead on daytrades. Watching first is best.

Curt M_1: So if price gets above your 100 MA your next main resistance is the 200 MA
Curt M_1: The main one – the big issue.
Curt M_1: So $GSM is a good setup if price is above 100 MA and 20 MA breaches it
Curt M_1: Then you look at history
Curt M_1: The last time was March 23 that happened and Nove 18

Curt M_1: Then you can do a basic symmetry extension
Tracy: to see how much it went up and what to expect?
Curt M_1: yup
Curt M_1: The more history you can find of a stock that has predictability in set ups in past the higher the probability it will happen in future.
Curt M_1: Proven tested quantifiable fact
Tracy: So if it goes over the 200 it could go up to over $22?
Curt M_1: It doesn’t have a lot of history – thats its main problem
Curt M_1: But yes price over 100 MA with 20 MA breaching it should see (should) see full extension.
Curt M_1: But history is scarce.
Curt M_1: So you continue searching charts and then after you’ve searched enough you pick one.
Curt M_1: And lastly you then bring it down to 1 day and then 60 min and then 15 min and then 5 mii and then day trade it until you see that it gets lift and then scalle in to it
Tracy: Where on your chart is the volume, is that the bottom part? Or is the bottom part the short squeeze part>
Curt M_1: It’s hard to see volume on here – last priority anyway
Curt M_1: Volume comes with set up
Curt M_1: no set up no volume
Curt M_1: set up almost always has volume – $PCOM is a low volume stock period thats a different scenario
Curt M_1: low float or low volume stocks are unpredictable
Curt M_1: ganblers like them

Curt M_1: liquidity is your friend don’t believe the ganbling houses – they aren’t playing the highest probability and highest reproducable scenarios
Tracy: When they run they run hard, however, predicting when that is going to happen is next to impossible. I sometimes think this is all just legalized gambline.
Curt M_1: the big wins look fancy but math doesn’t support their predictability
Curt M_1: GURUS like low floats because a GURU can manipulate them easily
Curt M_1: Me and six other traders in here can move in to a low float 2.00 stock and make it 2.000 right now

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channeland at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).
I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).
Good morning! My name is Freedom the $SPY Algo. Welcome to my new S&P trade report for Compound Trading.
Below is the first algorithmic quadrant chart you will see of many over the coming days. The horizontal support and resistance lines are standard Fibonacci that you can trade against and the diagonals are quadrant support and resistance – the thicker the line the better the support or resistance.
The next report will refine these and price targets. For now, we will see how this model performs. This is by the way the model our traders have been using for months and it has worked. I will add much more detail to it as this week progresses.

Trading Range Extensions (wide time-frame price targets – the main turns). In short, we have been publishing price predicts for the main price extensions on $SPY trade and for about four months now we have been hitting them. The price extension price targets are the most important. If you can catch the main turns in trade then this of course is where the money is. So that was the primary priority and it has proven out. Reviewing historical reports this is represented by the red dotted line extensions and was also in writing (the price predicts of trading extensions).
Trading Quadrants (shorter time frame trading ranges). The second priority was to lock in the natural trading range on shorter time frames, we call these quadrants and they have been represented on the charts as geometric shapes (boxes, or as some refer to them as diamonds). These also have proven out.
Trading Time Cycles / Main Resistance Areas (clusters of resistance). You would have to go back in the historical reporting some time to confirm that our algorithm has actually called these consistently, but it has. The more recent is the area $SPY is struggling to breach right now and the significant one prior to Christmas last year. The purpose of knowing where the primary time cycle resistance areas (or clusters) are, is for traders to know where and when it is bets to let off the gas to speak.
Specific Time / Price Targets. This area of work in the algorithm we are still working with (in development) and as such you will know begin to see our best guess of specific time / price targets weekly. You would have to review EPIC the Oil Algo posts or Twitter feed to understand what I am referring to (they are represented on EPIC’s feed as red circles and EPIC has been undeniably accurate). Now, IT IS CRITICAL to know that we may never be able to lock in these “cyrstal ball” specific time and price targets with $SPY like we have with EPIC. But that doesn’t make the work we are doing ineffective, actually quite the opposite.

Compound Trading is a trading group active in day trading, swing trading and algorithmic model charting (black box).
Time stamped entries (in permanent archive) copied to this blog are direct live log chat from chat trade room as they occurred (random chat not applicable is deleted from transcript below but raw video footage is as it occurred – uncut). Chat trade room is recorded daily for trade archive (embedded below and available on our YouTube channel).
In addition to chat, this trade-room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators we are looking for in and out off each trade. Typically at market open and for chart review during lunch hour at minimum) and has live chart screen sharing right from our monitors. Update: We are on schedule here and the complete model will be assembled his weekend and released Sunday night for next week. Then I think Gold is next (it will take less than two weeks to publish it in whole as the math is complete on it also. Actually the math is complete and tested on five of six of the algorithms so they will all be published in whole very shortly now). $SPY will be getting it’s own 24 hour trading room also – not sure when, but $SPY and Gold will get their own 24 hour trading rooms like EPIC sometime before end of 2017.
Update: Just for those that have asked, the near future posts coming for Freedom Traders series focuses on trading disciplines and technical set-ups that many have asked for. I’m actually going to try and write a book this Christmas consolidating it all (see mid day chart reviews on our YouTube channel and that will give you some insight as to direction – although the series will cover so much more). At minimum we’ll consolidate it in to a training seminar series with video set etc to make it easy for new traders and more experienced alike I suppose to digest it all.

If you are new to our trading service you should review recent blog posts, the Compound Trading YouTube Channeland at minimum our algorithm Twitter feeds because they do tell a story in terms of the market and how the inflections of the market determine our day to day trading. You will notice the algorithmic modelling has been undeniably accurate with many time-frames (intra-day, weeks and months out) so I myself have learned to respect their math (they have taken me from a 60% hit rate to 80% in my trading – all publicly posted live trades).
I do trade morning momo stocks, but I do avoid risk – so often I avoid the first 30 minutes (gap and go) and trade momentum stocks later in the day after the wash-out looking for a snap-back. Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter and Stocktwits if I have time).

Free scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open gap and go type plays (you need a good momentum scanner, level 2, and best to have hot-keys for the first 30 mins of gap and go trading)… but are very useful for intra day scalping and swing trading (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

Special Mid Day Chart Review in Trading Room on Wednesday – Limited Spots
Update: I received a lot of great feedback on our algorithmic modeling from people that seen the EPIC the Oil Algo charting for the first time Wednesday. I am used to it from our regular members but it was refreshing in a way to see the reaction that “newbies” had to the model. Yup, Epic is Epic. Anyway, feedback was awesome and we appreciate that! Also, the trading room raw footage below will have the webinar in it that occurred between 12 – 1 ET Wednesday – Sartaj will be posting the webinar only portion at come point on YouTube but he’s been very busy so I’m not sure when I guess is my point. The next public access EPIC webinar will be next week Wedneday at 10:00 AM this time.

Update: We are on schedule here and the complete model will be assembled his weekend and released Sunday night for next week. Then I think Gold is next (it will take less than two weeks to publish it in whole as the math is complete on it also. Actually the math is complete and tested on five of six of the algorithms so they will all be published in whole very shortly now). $SPY will be getting it’s own 24 hour trading room also – not sure when, but $SPY and Gold will get their own 24 hour trading rooms like EPIC sometime before end of 2017.
Update: Just for those that have asked, the near future posts coming for Freedom Traders series focuses on trading disciplines and technical set-ups that many have asked for. I’m actually going to try and write a book this Christmas consolidating it all (see mid day chart reviews on our YouTube channel and that will give you some insight as to direction – although the series will cover so much more). At minimum we’ll consolidate it in to a training seminar series with video set etc to make it easy for new traders and more experienced alike I suppose to digest it all.

I didn’t take a morning momentum trade, then we did the mid day review and the theme was hosted by EPIC the Oil Algo (went very well btw) and then I got caught up in conference calls and meetings for the afternoon. It is looking like more and more as our platform grows up that my afternoons may be more and more about managing the business and not as much in the trade room. Yet to be seen as I enjoy trading so much more of course:) Oh and on the swing trading side I had a tonne of babysitting there to do with our positions.
Getting busier and busier in afternoons with trade room business "stuff" it has been tough to trade in room last few afternoons.
