Intro:

Time stamped entries (in permanent archive) copied to this blog in italics (below) are direct live log chat from chat trade room as they occurred (random chat from myself not applicable or other misc chat deleted). Chat trade room is also video recorded daily for trade archive.

In addition to chat, this trade-room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators I am looking for in and out off each trade) and has live chart screen sharing right from my monitor to the room with all indicators I am looking at.

Overview Perspective & Review of Chat Room, Algos, Trades and Alerts:

We’re going to publish the remaining between now and next week in preparaton for all their whte papers before the meda programs air. So this of course helps my trading and the set-ups in my opinion (some continued trends and some are trend changes) – so on the other side of the inflection with some of the algos it should be a decent opportunity to scalle in on mid term trades early 2017 and with the other algos like $SPY and $USOIL we’re able to snip intra etc.

Also, generally in the market it was the Trump Train / reflation trade continued and the small cap super novas were firing on all cylinders.

Primary Lessons That May Help Your Trades:

For those that do follow my trades…. I would the main point right now is that continued patience with the reflective trade portion will pay huge dividends (such as with the US Dollar, Gold, and Silver). I took a lot of heat back in summer and early fall with our calls from folks like Gold bugs when we called the down and they were calling the uptrend. So now it’s a matter of just waiting for that turn…. and it may take a while but scaling in to the turn properly can return huge dividends.

$COOL I got out a bit early and $XIV I may have also executed my exit too early. I was thinking maybe a downdraft in $SPY between Friday and Tuesday morning sometime so I was trying to avoid a continued press on volatility.

Looking Forward:

There are a tonne of set-ups in the market right now. Still on my watch are emerging markets and Friday / Monday could be smoking hot trading with small cap oil considering the upcoming meetings. Dips on $GOLD are not now being bought vs.selling the rips (so this by default plays in to $SILVER) $NATGAS hit resistance and it showed so watching $DGAZ and $UGAZ on the break-out side. $USOIL $WTI is dialed in with EPIC the Oil Algo perfect so machines have been on since mid November break-out. Looks like there is a replacement for $UWTI and $DWTI on deck $UWT and $DWT so I’m pumped for that – of course with having EPIC around lol.

Kind of an odd day with Thanksgiving Day around the corner today. Market fade was heavy late day. Some small cap low floats were running a bit. Gold and Silver were the big watches for us because the price for both was either just entering the price target zone of our algos or really close.

Primary Lessons That May Help Your Trades:

$ANF Abercrombie trade lessons were two… #1 being most important and that is that 200 day on the 5 – once that 200 on the 5 got under the price it was rocket time (classic snap-back and gap fill). So waiting would have paid dividends. It just gets tough to stay on top of them over days. There is a recent wash-out on $SKLN that I should watch closer for this.

$JUNO Therapeutics was my #2 lesson… waiting for the proper set-up in terms of moving averages would have likely been safer – I’m in this swing 22.31 and it closed at 22.56.

Well, today was the first day I slept in since high school… well maybe not quite that far back. I hadn’t reset my alarm for the new time zone (so I lost 2 hours lol). And worse yet, I missed a crazy good open. But we got in to the swing and had a great day.

Primary Lessons That May Help Your Trades:

The $SKLN trade I took later in the day for a snap-back after the wash-out literally has fifty lessons in it. It was about an hour and a half trade that we recorded the audio and video trade room screen share with charting. So we have started to break up the video in to ten to twelve smaller videos detailing all the indicators, psychology and technicals involved in the trade. I am hoping to have these videos ready for Thursday night. Tonight we are working on publishing the algorithm updates – so depending on how long those take will depend on how long the videos take to come out – but they are, if I may say so gold for learning traders… a really, really technical trade with lots of commentary on the minute as the trade progressed.

The other trades on the day were textbook scalps. The one main lesson (because I was on top of the momentum stocks – late, but on top of it once in room) – the main lesson beyond the $SKLN lesson filled trade was the $USOIL $WTI wash-out on OPEC news before pit close – but that lesson also is on (included as a part) of the $SKLN trade because that was happening at the same time in the trading room today.

Monday was a textbook tight trading day with the market showing signs of perculating (which Tuesday morning transpired). So Monday I was tight with my scalps and ran text-book scalp trades in $XIV, $REN and $UCO – went well.

Primary lessons I learned that may help your trades…

Monday actually was tight so there wasn’t any big lessons to learn… Tuesday however is a different story. I have an hour and a half video I am doing from the trading room (in edits now) of a trade I was in on the afternoon wash-out and snap-back on $SKLN that worked out well. Lots of technical details in that trade – look forward to posting the series of videos (about ten shorter length videos breaking up all the indicators and technicals I was working with).

Review of my Chat Room Stock Day Trades for Monday Nov 14, 2016. $THC, $FAZ, $USLV, $USOIL, #OIL, $UWTI, $XIV, $DRYS and more.

Overview Perspective of Chart Room, Trades and Alerts:

I’m really pleased with the first two weeks in our beta start-up chat room. There’s some good peeps, it’s a smaller group for now but that’s good – it allows for more chatter than you could have with a larger room (which is good in this instance – so if you’re attending our room please feel free to communicate your views in the room – when there’s more in the room we’ll just scale back as needed). Much of the activity you don’t see in the transcript below because of course the charts are visual and the broadcast is by voice… but it’s going well and some of the group are getting involved and we’re starting to build on some momo here. And the market’s starting to cooperate:)

So from Friday my lessons were:

The reality is some basic disciplines went out the window. Simple stuff like trade the width or in other words the pivots (the range)… but trade them with price and volume momentum. Simple… simple… stuff. Money is made intra trading the outside ranges with price movement with volume momentum and cut quick if wrong. Really simple. So simple it seems we can find ourselves forgetting that. But truth is just that will get you 60 – 70% success ratio in my experience. So in short…. it doesn’t matter if there was a pull-back or the bonds or what the reason is… if you don’t trade the outside range when you have price confirmation (movement in the right direction) along with volume then YOU SHOULD NOT TRADE – IT IS A GAMBLE – pure and simple.

And guess what! I actually corrected these issues – it helped the market was more predictable too – but I did execute the simple rules I was not respecting on Friday. I cut faster, I protected equity, I didn’t get the run-ups you would normally expect – but I protected equity.

THE BIG PLAYS OF THE DAY for me were

$THC – The exit of 4/5 s of my $THC swing from my large swing account. This type of play (which also went well with $HTZ) is a simple play – and I far too often forget to utilize it. In short the play works like this: A) You simply wait for an equity to have a premarket downdraft due to something like poor earnings or whatever. B) It needs to be an equity that you know has managed money in it and preferrably one that you know managed money will buy on the downdraft. C) Take your entry after market open when there is increasing volume (preferably before they run it up) D) Hopefully you time your entry so that you get lift quick and can set your stop and then just put your feet up and babysit it until it gets desired target based on chart (typically gap fill over a week or so). Of course it’s more complicated than that… but those are the basics – one of my most successful swing trading set-ups. And I hate to put it on the team in the room – but if you see that I’m not paying attention to this play in the mornings please please let me know if you see any equities that fit this formula!
Both $SPY and $USOIL $WTI started to respond to dips and price action more normal like. What I mean by this in short (for example) is oil… oil at it’s outside range (pivots or support) should respond to buying price action – but oil has been dead for many days… today though it responded and tonight it’s alive in futures – so this is big news (being that I hit 97% of my oil entries (using the leveraged ETN $UWTI) and my total average with all plays (in small scalp compound accout and large swing account is 80% so oil is VERY IMPORTANT to my trading). And $SPY… well it started to respond properly too… I use $XIV which I know isn’t a direct correlation but I use that leveraged $ETN in such a way that I take advantage of a beatin down $VIX when $SPY gets on a rip. And being that I can compound an account 1% a day just with this simple afternoon $XIV play daily it is very important. NOW…. in both instances (especially $SPY) the response (price action and volume) wasn’t completely back to its normal state… but it was much, much better.
The big trade I missed was shippers last few days (was on it with it on the watchlist I posted to the trading room yesterday – I just didn’t take it) . 08:53 am Curtis Melonopoly : Misc. For me… I’m just pumped because oil is on a rip now in futures so it’s alive now and when that happens me and my little friend EPIC the Oil Algo bank. So the coming days here should be very good fishing!

Review of my Chat Room Stock Day Trades for Friday Nov 11, 2016.

Intro:

Overview Perspective of Trades and Alerts: Simple but BIG Lessons Here.

In general, Friday was a difficult day for me… 3 small losses – no gains. The bonds caught me off guard and caused me to re-think. Also though… the reality is some basic disciplines went out the window. Simple stuff like trade the width or in other words the pivots (the range)… but trade them with price and volume momentum. Simple… simple… stuff. Money is made intra trading the outside ranges with price movemenet with volume momentum and cut quick if wrong. Really simple. So simple it seems we can find ourselves forgetting that. But truth is just that will get you 60 – 70% success ratio in my experience. So in short…. it doesn’t matter if there was a pull-back or the bonds or what the reason is… if you don’t trade the outside range when you have price confirmation (movement in the right direction) along with volume then YOU SHOULD NOT TRADE – IT IS A GAMBLE – pure and simple.

So this coming week for me will be all about returning to the basics. When the set-up is there I will trade – if not then I will $STUDY like all of us should.

So that was 3 small losses… the first momo trade the loss could have been smaller and the other two I should have held – if I was respecting the range I would have but I was obviously not respecting simple fundamental principles of successful trading. Hope you learn from that!

Review of my Chat Room Stock Day Trades for Thursday Nov 10, 2016.

In addition to chat, this trade room has live voice broadcast (that covers in detail what indicators I am looking for in and out of each trade) and has live chart screen sharing right from my monitor to the room with all indicators I am looking at.

Today’s Trades And Alerts: $THC, $XIV, $DRYS, $TUBE, $ECPG, $GLBS, $EBIO

So we did get the snap back up in the market as expected… but Thursday it slowed… especially late in the day with the bond market firing off madness.

I got out of my small account and swing account $XIV swing from the night before for my two wins and entered in small account later in day expecting a spike in oil at latest at pit close (because it has been consolidating at support) and with the recent election catalyst I ASSUMED I was safe. But nope, market went flat with bond markets and oil never got price lift. So I’m long over-night in small account $XIV and still in a $THC swing that I may add to if it sees another leg down. I think the dip was over-done.

There were (again) some morning momentum stocks that I could have entered, but I was focused on a timely exit in my $XIV holdings…. overnight swings does make that tough.

So today I have to decide whether to add to $THC or cut and with $XIV I have to decide whether to hold over weekend if the market doesn’t get some positive price action.

Election is Over!

Sorry, no premarket yesterday – but we did bank in the room and the alerts have been dead on.

A few big things today… obvious lift in $SPY (and we’re banking on $XIV), my $THC swing I may exit soon, $HTZ should of held (it was a decent call), BASE METALS as I’ve posted on my feed will be strong mid term with infrastructure spending (Trump) and coal will be strong mid term likely.Copper is flying and shippers may take off here. Oh, and Natural Gas looks like it’s getting close to a buy zone. And as alerted tech and bio. Also, I missed the $NIKKEI snapback trade (which I wanted to catch just forgot – and yup it snapped back)

Many sectors are getting lift as we expected so it is important to stay in the zone – focus – nimble. Oil should be the story soon being it is bouncing under ceiling resistance on 200 on the 1 hr and bouncing up off 50 on the 1 hr.

Volatility $VIX ($XIV, $UVXY, $TVIX, $VXX etc)

From Tuesday….

Some obvious plays here… if Hillary gets last minute bad news I’l scalp $TVIX or $UVXY. If election goes well for her the obviously $XIV would be a decent scalp or swing. If THE Donald wins… watch out lol… volatilty. But either way I think the market gets a lift (if Donald wins market likely does a mini Brexit then lifts). I win every-time here (seriously almost). Brexit, last Jan, last Sept and Oil have been huge bonuses to my accts in addition to compound trading program – so I see the election as a bonus.

So the $VIX is right at that diagonal trendline support – but you have to be careful putting too much consideration in to diagonal supports to beging with – but even moreso with the $VIX (it isn’t like a diagonal trendline with most equities).
$DXY US Dollar Index ($UUP US Dollar Bull, $UDN British Pound, $FXY Japanese Yen Trust, $CNY China, $TZA, $SMK / $EWW Mexico Capped ETF)

I missed the move in the Peso… had it lined up but you can’t get every play… WE SHOULD WATCH IT THOUGH for a bit of a snapback next week perhaps.

The US Dollar index is the only one I’m really watching – if it gets flight there’s a good play in $TZA. But other than that I’m not interested in playing China or Britain or any other currency related trades.

The actual charting with the $DXY US Dollar isn’t broken at all… if you chekc my Twitter feed long before it got lift here I was telling folks what the algorithmic symmetry was saying… but many didn’t listen. This was an easy set-up IMO.

Get your charting up and watch this close for a break-out. They have meetings coming up too.

Watch your 200 day on the 1 hour for resistance and 50 day on the 1 hour for support (and more recently this morning off the 100 for support) – either breach and that’s a tell. If I miss it in the room send me a DM on twitter or an email to [email protected]. Also watch the blue diagonal trendlines on the chart for resistance and support. And the purple horizontal supports and resistance. If crude gets above the 200 Day on the 1 hour and above the blue trendline above it and the purple resistance in that same area then it’s in break-out mode. DONT MISS IT AND DONT LET ME MISS IT LOL.

Obviously all base metals will be bullish, however, $GOLD is running in to some chart resistance that is wise to consider.

Pay attention to that 17.92 resistance – if #Silver can get up and over that on back-test it could fly. This would be my preferred play in the metals category. Also watch $AUMN if #SILVER gets up over 17.92. LETS NOT MISS THAT ONE EITHER.

I continue to watch per previous. I was expecting a floor down here (as with Gold and Silver not so much) and the downdraft this morning is significant (enough? not sure yet – ask me after election lol).

Free Scanners to find momentum stocks that you can easily review charts of for indicators that bring probability of your trade being successful up considerably. These are not useful for first 30 minute market open super-nova type plays (you need a good momentum scanner for the first 30 mins of trade)… but are very useful for intra day scalping (start with trending stocks and then look at indicators intra for simple set-ups – study scan study scan study scan).

We had the snap-back lined up even before the election. Recently the $HTZ low in the room was a big call and then now the election call. Things are good!

Why is this important? It’s to brag of course… no actually… it’s called being a good trader. That’s what we do and the idiots leading the sheep around with all their bullsh*t really start to piss me off lol. Time to say it straight – if you’re going to be a good trader you need to see around the corner (this GPS instead of what you see out your windshield). Very important for the newer traders to think on that – beyond getting tooled up with technicals and indicators and knowing how to size trades and cutting fast and actually studying and learning and reviewing previou trades etc… knowing what markets are going to do in advance is critical to your survival.

I’m not going to spend much time review the below…. the premarket today is really active and I want to be prepared for the next week of trading – big opportunities here. And I’ll try and get Tuesday’s Post Market done sometime soon too (lots of lessons to reveiw there). We start on intensive charting and algo trading Monday so I’ll try and get caught up this weekend.

My Stock Trading Plan for Tuesday November 8, 2016.

Election Day!

Two big things today… it is election day… but more importantly (for my trading at least)… EPIC the Oil Algo has locked in his math on time / price cycles and that means BIG TRADING coming there very soon (it’s exciting for me anyway – it means bank on top of bank cometh).

Premarket reports will not be detailed until after election.

As with recent… I’m sitting tight and trading scalps until after election – yesterday portfolio +3.5% increase and Friday +6.3% so that’s just fine for now.

Post election we will start on algorithmic trading main targets and trendlines and work with traditional indicators that I use for my trades with goal to compound accounts 10k to 1MM in 26 mos (however, as in last nights post market report, I may kick that up a notch to a 6 month curve – stay tuned).

So for now so detailed pre-market trade plan – after election however very detailed trading plans for each algorithm we have in development. Also, refer to pre and post market reports for last week or so if you wish to view my bias with any specific sector etc.

Momentum Stocks (Market open and Intra)

I explained my position on morning momo stocks in detail in yesterday’s premarket if you’re interested (bottom line they carry risk so I do trade them at times, but I avoid risk).

Just prior to open and shortly after open I post momentum stocks to the trade chat room (and Twitter if I have time).

The momentum stocks (from previous days and morning trade) I continue to watch through the day for indicators that allow a trade.

Pre Market Watchlist: $VIX ($TVIX, $UVXY, $XIV) FX: $USOIL $WTI ($UWTI, $DWTI), Natural Gas ($UGAZ, $DGAZ), more to come in trading room before market open.

Markets Today – Volatility $VIX ($XIV, $UVXY, $TVIX, $VXX etc)

Some obvious plays here… if Hillary gets last minute bad news I’l scalp $TVIX or $UVXY. If election goes well for her the obviously $XIV would be a decent scalp or swing. If THE Donald wins… watch out lol… volatitility. But either way I think the market gets a lift (if Donald wins market likely does a mini Brexit then lifts). I win everytime here (seriously almost). Brexit, last Jan, last Sept and Oil have been huge bonuses to my accts in addition to compound trading program – so I see the election as a bonus.

Per yesterday’s post… buy the blood in the streets and buy the over extended pivots and Fib levels (for those that don’t understand pivots and Fib levels – we will be getting in to those indicators and algo indicators after election in detail in the room).

FX: $USOIL $WTI ($CL_F, $USO, $DWTI, $UWTI $XOP #OOTT #Algo)

Per yesterday “There was a recent time / price cycle change. @EPICtheAlgo is expected to have updates on his Twitter prior to open.”

EPIC published algorithmic updates with alpha algo targets and time / price cycle terminations and traditional charting trendlines representing support and resistance! REVIEW THOSE POSTS IN DETAIL!!! This I have learned is critical. Yesterday’s trade I got that increased my small account portfolio 3.5% was all because I actually listened to the algo and took that trade yesterday.

EPIC expects a big move up or down before end of this Friday so BE SURE TO KNOW YOUR LINES!!!

Per yesterday and last few weeks (I haven’t done much here because I rely on the algo targets and we don’t expect anything predictable until after election) “Gold, Miners, Silver I was looking for on floor down over last month per my posts and this now may do it. We will watch to election and then start putting out our algorithmic charting and traditional charting and trade it.”
