Facebook, Inc. (FB) plunged in after hours trade today falling from 218.62 high of day to 164.30 in a spectacular after hours trading session.

In this report are the technical charting details for trading Facebook in the coming days and weeks. The charts below will assist you on short time frame daytrading in premarket and market open tomorrow. Also included in this report are longer time frame daytrading levels and swing trading buy sell triggers for Facebook stock trade.

Facebook earnings include ‘nightmare guidance’ that lopped more than $100 billion off its market cap in after-hours trading.

“As I’ve said on past calls, we’re investing so much in security that it will significantly impact our profitability,” Zuckerberg said. “We’re starting to see that this quarter.”

The stock didn’t fall off a cliff until Chief Financial Officer David Wehner disclosed that the social-media giant expects the revenue-growth slowdown to continue.

“Our total revenue-growth rates will continue to decelerate in the second half of 2018, and we expect our revenue-growth rates to decline by high-single-digit percentages from prior quarters sequentially in both Q3 and Q4,” he said on the conference call. Wehner also said Facebook still expects expenses to grow 50% to 60% from last year.

The last time we traded a Facebook wash-out the trade was one of our biggest winners of 2018 (thus far). We nailed the bottom of the sell-off and we followed the trade through as it gained upside until today. We have been out of the trade for a few weeks now in anticipation for today’s earnings announcement.

During the last Facebook sell-off swing trade price plunged in to the 150’s and the article link takes the trade step by step from the low 160’s.

When this first set-up I alerted it a number of times in different ways on different platforms – I even texted people and sent private messages. I was screaming this from the rooftops..

As time goes on in your trading life you learn over and over again how this particular type of set-up has profit written all over it. The secret however, is knowing where your trading chart structure is in advance of trade getting to that area of restructuring after the wash-out. Knowing that is key.

STEP 1: Getting in to the Facebook trade in premarket or at market open tomorrow morning (Thursday July 26, 2018).

The chart below will help you with short time-frame entries to get your positioning right, get on the right side of the trade so that you can then leg in to a sizeable swing trade if you want from there forward (pending trading action in the morning).

My trading plan for Facebook will be to do exactly that, daytrade it in premarket tomorrow with the objective of getting some profit side room in the trade so that I can leg in to a more significant swing trading position.

I should note that considering the company’s guidance on the earnings call today that I do not expect the same ROI as the last trade we started in April of 2018.

Mid Day Chart Swing Trading Set-ups July 24, 2018 Summary:

July 24 Swing Trading Special Earnings Season Report (member version) that will become the premise for our next major entries.

Stocks reviewed on this 2nd video in the series for earnings: OIL, $WTI, $SPY, $DXY, $CELG, $RIOT, $ARWR, $GTHX, $EXTR, $EDIT, $IPI, $MBRX, $SOHU, $PDLI, $ESPR, $LPSN, $XOMA.

We are reviewing all one hundred equities we have in coverage on our swing trading platform – all over the next ten days or so for earnings trading season.

This is from June 24 report cycle (last time these equities were reported to members) and now reviewed July 24, 2018. Members can refer to that report for charting to reference in the video (if not included below).

OIL $WTI – Looking for a sizeable entry at decision on the resistance on-deck trading 68..81. Waiting on the decision either side of resistance.

$SPY SP500 – Near target hit in time frame from yesterday’s video alert long trigger over 281 ish and came close to price target 282.46. Missing most bullish target but close. 283.80 next resistance, then 285.24. Intra day support 281.10 main support 278.64 for quad trading range Aug 2. 289.07 Aug 2 bullish scenario targets 294.25 then 299.53 in the model.

US Dollar $DXY – main pivot 94.54 in this structure and trading intra day just above. 96.50 – 97 is upside bullish target if price gets over light blue downtrending TL line. Trading channels are also discussed on video as is lower support.

$CELG – 87.84 resistance at quad wall (down trending TL Fibonacci) upside targets if it runs 86.12 88.70, 91.60 96.10 July 25. Earnings in two days.

$RIOT – entries 7.30s to 7.60s ish today and released on its way up in to the 8s. Fantastic day trade. Swing trading most bullish price target resistance 9.70s.

$ARWR – Earnings 14 days trading 16.61 intra day, took a first 30% sizing trade on a swing long a little higher on the day. 16.25 main support. Will add on pullbacks at supports discussed in video. Low 20s is the price target range. Trading plan scenarios for upside and downside trade are discussed on video and sizing for each scenario.

$GTHX – Trade is at mid quad primary range resistance so a decision is near. 49.01 is buy side trigger if it holds on any given day at close. Main support 44.40 in structure. Pull back buy triggers are discussed on video.

$EXTR – Indicators are up but Stoch RSI is really high, short side alert worked, Sept 5th 7.16 lower price target in sell-off, support test at 8.49 trading 8.78. Earnings 15 days. If it gets bullish 9.29 resistance with 9.95 bullish target Sept 5 and I would be very cautious.

$EDIT – Algorithm model trade is predictable hitting price targets through the channel. Intra sitting on mid quad support and 200 MA. Channel in chart. Symmetry is excellent. Downside support is 30.53 quad wall intra, 28.00 support in sell off and 25.55 support. 27.93 price target Sept 29 in a downside. Trading plan discussed in video and how it should trade through the channel.

$IPI Intrepid Potash – 200 MA upside resistance on weekly chart. Would be nice to see MACD down and turn for an entry. Alarming chart for a possible breach of 200 MA to upside.

$MBRX – Main pivot 2.46 has held and this is a fantastic short each time it gets in that area of resistance.

$SOHU – Long long term trend is down, MACD trending down, earnings on deck in 6 days. Iffy chart, I would be cautious with this one.

$PDLI – Short side worked, we never did see buy trigger hit in dump, resistance areas for upside 2.92 3.05 3.21. Earnings in 12 days. Over 200 MA I may be interested in a trade.

$ESPR – Wash-out was an okay trade set up, MACD is about to turn up on the weekly structure, Stoch RSI is turned up. It is above 200 MA. Looking better. 49.60 main resistance trading 43.35. 20 50 MA weekly will be next resistance after 49.60. Trade trigger over 44.63 is a serious look.

$LPSN LivePerson – Indicators are all up, earnings in 8 days, bulls have bought in to earnings, main resistance 25.10 ish and support around 20.40 and trading 24.35 intra. Watching for a break over 25.10 ish. Not interested in a pull back buy unless it got to 20 MA. Watch the main resistance 25.90. Mid pivot main 23.50 (trading right above intra day).

$XOMA – Trade below bottom target, trading at main pivot intra day, not sure which direction it will take. Likely see some upside but unsure, 26.70 is main buy zone consideration. Will review then.

Mid Day Chart Swing Trading Set-ups July 23, 2018 Summary:

Swing Trading Special Earnings Season Report that will become the premise for our next major entries.

SORRY ABOUT THE ALLERGIES / COUGHS – I sincerely apologize.

Even so, I beg you as a member to follow along with this special series of videos because our alerts in the first part of the year were huge and you can verify by reviewing the feed and we plan to kill the second part of the year!

Stocks reviewed on this video: $SPY, OIL, $VIX, $DXY, $GOOGL, $HCLP, $ARRY, $ARWR, $CDNA, $XXII, $SSW

We are reviewing all one hundred equities we have in coverage on our swing trading platform – all over the next ten days or so for earnings trading season.

The video is slow because the models need to load and alarms along with swing trading plan has to be reviewed for each chart.

The audio is poor on this specific video – hopefully we have that solved for Tuesday video.

$SPY – 60 Min Chart, support 278.60, trading 279.99, upside 281.00 resistance, downside 276.17 downside support. 283.80 24th 9 am 178.60 same day is bearish scenario.

$VIX Volatility – Stoch RSI starting a pinch up, MACD is starting a bottom, time cycle completion this week. Possible inflection point to Dec 24 time cycle completion. If we don’t see one then the Dec 24 time completion is a very high probability. Oct 8 min 20s price target.

US Dollar $DXY – Hit resistance on current structure (at light blue downtrend line). Testing 20 MA support and resistance (light blue MA on chart). Over main structure resistance has PT 97.76 Sept 14 if it gets up over.

Oil $WTI $USOIL – Upside momentum starting on the day.

$GOOGL – Hit 1210.85 1256.83 – 1261.50 is first upside resistance then 1284.53 area. 1320.00 is largest structure resistance for long side swing trading. 1150.00 – 1164.62 next support with 1103.02 is primary structure support for downside risk.

$HCLP – High Crush watching close on monthly for potential big move. 17.05 resistance, 16.50 to 17.05. Previous highs 21 – 22 possible. Double extension also possible if it got bullish to 25s. It could easily double its extension. If a pull back happens when price is above 20 and 50 MA and 20 MA breaches the 50 (with price above) that is a serious bullish set up. Don’t ignore this set up.

$ARRY – Indecisive. Earnings in 18 days.Gen 1 algorithm chart reviewed.

Learn to trade to win – Structured trading is reviewed at this point in the video starting at 16:00 mins. Trading quadrants, Fibonacci support and resistance, trading by numbers, time frames, quadrant trend line support and resistance, buy sell triggers for swing trades, how to and where to follow trends, natural trading structure etc.

$ARWR – Reports in 13 days, if it gets bullish it can get serious. The structure is aggressive. Some trade coaching / complaining rants here too.16.45 Nov 23 sideways PT, 32.87 Nov PT healthy side target, should continue to trend. Paint by numbers trading in the structure. 19.73 Aug 15 is most likely scenario pending earnings of course. All decisions are on the chart.

$CDNA – No model charting, but the pivot we identified worked well after the alert.

$XXII – more trading structure knowledge if you need to get from red to green with your trading. Upside and downside buy sell triggers discussed on video.

Oil Trade – the price target for 3:30 on Monday did hit per the video and a leg in long would have worked well, we did not execute but the trading plan reviewed on the video would have been an excellent trade.

$SHOP – testing previous highs 173.21 trading intra, great trade last session in dump long and it was fantastic. Entry points on a break out squeeze and a pull back are discussed. Earnings in 8 days.

$SSW – has been a fantastic chart structure for our trading. 5.16 buy sell trigger, 8.51, 11.94 for example – they are explained on the weekly chart for SSW. Chart structure is explained.

$ITCI – we nailed this trade on this structure and it was one of our best the year to date. In a social search of that time we were the only ones alerting it and talking about it. Huge win. ITCI hit price targets perfect. Trade set up reviewed on video.

$SENS – 240 Min chart MACD crossing up, SQZMOM trending up, buys coming in, bounced off 100 MA hit quad wall perfect, don’t ignore this one, it has serious return when it gets going, it is getting set up. Over 4.28 and quad wall this has horsepower for a great return 5.47 PT then 5.82.

Swing Trading Review of charts from July 19 Mid Day Review. Between Monday July 23 and Friday 27 we will be reviewing the charting for all one hundred equities we follow on our swing trading platform (it’s earnings season so it is important to be on top of the charting and buy sell trigger alarms). Each report from mid day will be sent to swing trading members daily.

Tickers covered; $VIX, $DXY, $SPY, $DIS, $RCL, $RKDA, $SQ, $HEAR, $TGTX, $SMIT and more.

$VIX – Volatility time cycle on large weekly structure is coming to conclusion near mid next week. Watch for a possible trend reversal in the $VIX as we complete the time cycle. $VIX is currently in downtrend pinch on chart.

US Dollar $DXY – Algorithm model summary review (review dollar algorithm reports for complete detail or review mid day chart review videos from recent months). Intra day at resistance and if it trades above the resistance look to next structure above. Very bullish and 97.00 upside is very possible. Detail on video.

$SPY – Over 281.04 is a long side trade trigger 283.89. Support at 278.66. How to trade the algorithmic model (60 min) is discussed some on video. Other main support and resistance areas discussed.

$DIS – Disney has been a great trade. The algorithmic charting has been good. Hit resistance today at a Fibonacci horizontal. Price Targets: Bullish 117.53 early Sept, 110.60 if it comes off, 103.68 is the bearish target, trade each support and resistance on way to each target. Up over today’s resistance is a long to price target on video.

$RCL – Royal Caribbean, short warning was good and it popped and got in to price target early so this is a trim 115.00 resistance, 98.50 is bearish scenario. 131.00 is bullish price target scenario above 115.00. On an upside trajectory watch the 200 MA (pink line) overhead.

$RKDA – Conventional charting reviewed for Arcadia Biosciences, This chart has lots of room to move. 50 MA is getting close to price on daily chart and that puts this on watch for a huge potential move up. We have alarmed the chart for when / if price crosses 50 MA and we’re looking for a run to the 100 MA (14.00 possible from 8’s). Watch the 200 MA overhead on way to 100 MA if that scenario occurs.

$SQ – Square, chart seems over extended and a revisit to 20 MA should occur soon. Longs should be cautious.

$HEAR – What a move, missed the major part of the move and only got daytrade snipes. Longs should trim in advance of a retrace.

$SMIT – daytraders chart and that’s it. Careful trying to trade it. Buy sell triggers discussed and how to daytrade it.

$TGTX – may be setting up for a move.

This report is 1 of 5 in rotation with our mandate being one report per week on average cycling the five reports that include over one hundred equities every five weeks (approximately).

We will categorize our coverage soon as we are following more stocks weekly than we expected when we first started the service.

When managing your trades with the weekly reports keep in mind that you will have to invest an hour or two a week to check the indicators mentioned for buy and sell triggers. I was asked recently why we do not usually (although we do sometimes) include precise entry and exit points. The reason is simple, they don’t work – those services have terrible results.

Swing trading success, even with a service, does require “some” maintenance on the part of the user, although the new live alert service will take much of that burden off the user as we know many of our users have busy lives. It is the indicators lining up that signal a trade long entry or an exit. In our case rely heavily on MACD on daily or weekly (or Stoch RSI and Moving averages) but indicators we are basing our trade entry and exits on are listed with each trade so any user that does even moderate trade management will know when the indicator(s) have turn with or against the trade.

How to Trade Apple:

Either side of the main buy / sell trigger (pivot) in this range are the important levels to watch. The pivot is 188.61 and the important upside test Fib is at 199.44 and the important support is 185.78 area.

With the 20 MA moving up through the lower support and nearing intra-day trade this could get interesting here. If price loses the 20 MA watch for the support to break. If that breaks at 185.78 then price targets 181.75.

If price trends up with 20 MA then next resistance is the 199.44 and above that is a good upside swing risk reward.to next pivot at 200.66.

It seems with the news below (announcements on June 4, 2018 per CNBC) and how well Apple held up in today’s sell-off that the risk reward is still to the bullish side. But let the test of the upside resistance prove the bull thesis out.

April 16 – $AAPL Buy sell trigger 152.66 hit, then 164.92 testing 176.62. Over long to PT 188.61 with 181.75 and 185.78 res tests.

Apple has been a fantastic structured wash-out snap back swing trade set-up so far. The big test / major pivot in this trading structure is the upside test at 176.62. Longs should trim in to that and add over to next test at 181.75 and add over and so on.

The other scenario is a retrace to the Fibonacci support at 171.22 and on bounce long. If price does not bounce on a retrace to 171.22 then short in to 167.41 as first target.

Also, MACD on daily is turned up but Stochastic RSI is high and likely to cool lower with price and then watch for bounce.

April 29 – $AMD The close this gets to the key resistance in 14.60s the more short bias I am for a swing trade.

This surprised me since last report (I did some review on this surprise on a number of mid day review videos on YouTube channel).

Anyway, I don’t like the way it trades… it is manipulated by media, sentiment or otherwise and as it gets closer to previous highs overhead soon and near the key resistance in 14.60s I am yet again short bias to $AMD:) We’ll see, but I’ll likely pull the trigger this time.

May 29 – Wallmart stock continues its soft landing but indicators are flatening. Short side RR diminishing now.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that 82.61 pivot is gained to the upside again and we see a pop to upside resistance points on chart.

If that does not transpire in trade then the 74.54 is the bottom, bottom support in 2018 most probably. I really doubt trade will see 74.54. But keep an open mind and follow price per the chart support and resistance points.

Although the long side trade is going well, be aware that current trade is at previous high so cautious swing traders will want to trim some here and more as it nears mid quad primary resistance then add above incrementally to price target in trajectory.

The other scenario is a retrace to the Fibonacci support at 171.22 and on bounce long. If price does not bounce on a retrace to 171.22 then short in to 167.41 as first target.

This swing trading report is Part B of one of five in rotation.

The five reports include approximately one hundred equities that we cover. The equities covered in the reports are divided in to five publications (that may be partitioned in to Part A and Part B) and the reports are then rotated on cycle approximately every five weeks to members of our service. In addition to the regular reports our members receive feature set-up and educational reports as available.

The reports are in the process of upgrades to include buy and sell triggers identified on charting of select instruments that are nearing trade set-ups. The triggers (price and / or other indicators) will also be set to alarm on our charting for attendees to the live trading room and alerts will flash on screen during live trading room broadcast. Additionally, the triggers will be buy / sell points for our traders to use as part of the alerts members may receive.

If you need help with a specific trade and the specific trading plan for your swing trade set-up let me know and as I have time I can help you formulate.

When managing your trades with the reports keep in mind that you will have to invest an hour or two a week to check the indicators mentioned for buy and sell triggers.

Intra-week you can always DM myself on Twitter or email with specific questions regarding trades you are considering for assistance. But it is critical that you attend to the maintenance of your signals at least once a week if not twice and set stops and preferably alarms so that intra-week you can enter or exit. If nothing else you can always book some coaching time and I’ll assist also (although we are at a point of waiting list for the coaching, at minimum you can get on list or for immediate help as I said please DM or email).

IF WE DON’T GET BACK TO YOU RIGHT AWAY it is usually because we are pressured with deadlines or are trading.

As live charts are made available below, click on link and open viewer. Then to use chart yourself click on share button at bottom right (near thumbs up) and then click “make it mine”.

To remove the indicators at bottom of chart screen (MACD, Stochastic RSI, Squeeze Momentum) double click on chart body to remove indicators from chart – and same to return the indicators.

If you look close you will see the top of the candles the last 3 days hitting the quad wall resistance (gray dotted) and sitting on 50 MA support on this daily chart (50 MA is an important indicator in swing trading) and most interesting is that trade is near the mid quad main pivot area of the chart (gray horizontal line with gray arrow).

What does this mean?

My Netflix trading plan in bull scenario…. Trade above 300.00 and 20 MA (blue) is a long to 313.92 then 315.92 then 328 area.

And for bearish trade scenario… Trade below 285.00 / 290.00 and 50 MA targets 278.33 then 275.50 then 263.29.

$NFLX testing 50 MA support, upside quad wall resistance and trading near main chart pivot decision.

Further to my Netflix swing trading plan… it would be ideal to time a turn up in the MACD. The chart below shows that the Stochastic RSI has already curled up and was near bottom (leading indicator typically and the fact it got so close to the bottom is perfect) and the MACD is near the bottom and so is the Squeeze Momentum Indicator (I would expect this to turn next and then the MACD)

I really like this set-up for a long side trade. Hoping price actions proves this trade set-up out here.

What does this mean?

My Netflix trading plan in bull scenario…. Trade above 300.00 and 20 MA (blue) is a long to 313.92 then 315.92 then 328 area.

And for bearish trade scenario… Trade below 285.00 / 290.00 and 50 MA targets 278.33 then 275.50 then 263.29.

This swing trading report is one in five in rotation. The goal is to publish each in rotation approximately every 30 – 40 days (pending market conditions). We currently have approximately one hundred equities we cover regularly on our swing trading service.

This is Part A and B of this report.

The reports are in the process of upgrades to included buy and sell triggers identified on charting of select instruments that are nearing trade set-ups. The triggers (price and / or other indicators) will also be programmed in to our charting for attendees to the live trading room and alerts will flash on screen in the trading room. Additionally, the triggers will be buy / sell points for our traders to use as part of the alerts members may receive.

If you need help with a specific trade and the specific trading plan for your swing trade set-up let me know and as I have time I can help you formulate.

When managing your trades with the reports keep in mind that you will have to invest an hour or two a week to check the indicators mentioned for buy and sell triggers.

This is an interesting set-up. I’m slightly bullish but it has to gain the mid quad resistance above at 74.00 and then long side entries can start as long as indicators are cooperating..

Closed Tuesday 72.68 with next support below at 70.45 and currently riding 200 MA.

Trade above 74.00 has resistance above at 76.71.
